2 Sets of Invites???

Is anyone getting 2 different invites, ones for your A listers and the others for your B listers??? Is this silly to do?

Re: 2 Sets of Invites???

im not doing the B list thing, its too risky especially considering that theres alot of ppl who wait until after the RSVP date to RSVP, and people who change it from no to yes or no to yes even after they rsvp...you can end up having too many people or getting it all messed up bc of that.

i was thiking of it...but decided against the B list...if we go over the ammount we want ( we prob wont) the room is big enough...we will just deal

I wouldn't. There really isn't a need for 2 types of invites imo

yeah forgot to say this, if anybody realizes they have 2 different sets of invites it would make it more obvious they were on the B list...you never know, like if someone mentions how beautiful your invites were and the other person says yeah i liked so and so about it and the other one would be like

Bec I have friends that I have to invite but dont want to send them the main invite, when I have to send the main invite to the more important people. I know that must sound bad but Im not sure

The chance you are taking is dangerous.

Friend A - receives the pretty invite & put is on her fridge, leaves it on a table, etc.

Friend B - comes over and sees it - figures her invite is still in the mail....but it never comes. She eventually gets an invite but it's different.

Friend A - receives the pretty invite & tells friend B - just wait until you get that invite - it's so nice - the colors are so vibrant, etc...

Friend B - never gets it and when she does - it's different. An immediate thought is ***?

well just make sure you dont have the invite at the wedding, alot of ppl use it to incorporate it or use the same decor on the invite for place cards and other stuff, also the day of when the photographer will take a professional pic of your invite which they do, dont let the friends see that picture.

I dunno - i'd still be concerned..it could come out at the most random time & feelings could be hurt. A flower in your centerpiece could be on your invites & someone mentions it and someone on ther other list hears it and is like - mine didn't have that flower... There are a lot of things stacked against ya that way - but do what you have to do. I just feel like it's risky..

I know I would feel soooo upset if I knew someone found out and I would never want to hurt someones feelings or put them down, especially my friends. Ok forget the sec set of invites, they are all getting the same one. Knowing my fam, the word will get out that I sent out 2 diff invites.

We're not doing a B list. I don't think you should do a a second set of invites if you're planning on having one. Just send out the same invitation.

Re: 2 Sets of Invites???

I was just going to make a post about this (I still am right after I reply) I am having an A and B list of response cards not invites. Everything on the invite is going to be the same. Its the response card date Im changing. I had to have an A & B list because of my large family.

Re: 2 Sets of Invites???

i personally think an A list and B list is a bit tacky...and if the people off the B list find out that is so insulting that they prob will say no anyway...

but its a personal choice and if you find A and B list are okay go for it

Why do you need different invites just because you have an A list and a B list?

THe main ones will be for family and more important guests (kinda expensive) and the others for my friends, bec we have sooo many friends, (nice invites but less expensive).

But I am not going to send out different ones, forget it.
