2 Stephen Street Salon in Plainview??

This salon is really close to the hotel where my wedding party, other guests and I will staying. I have A LOT of people who want to get their hair done (some family in addition to my BMs, Mom and myself) and I would prefer to send them to a salon, rather then have all of them get their hair done by someone who comes to us. It would just be too hectic. I have a trial with Donna in a couple of weeks. Chances are I will be bringing in someone to do my hair, but if this place is good, then I would consider using them for myself too. Anyone have any feedback, good or bad? Any other suggestions for a good salon in Plainview that is open on Sundays? The Sunday thing has been the big problem so far. Thanks!!!

The only Salon that comes to mind that's open on Sundays in Plainview is Cactus Salon. It's in the Plainview shopping center on the corner of South Oyster Bay Rd and Woodbury Rd.

2 Stephen Street is actually my salon. I go there for all my up-do's and blowouts. Judy and Donna are great for updo's. I am definitely having them do my wedding!

I use Jason Royce on Jericho Tpke in Woodbury. They may be a little pricey, but what isn't in Woodbury! They are open Sundays.

Re: 2 Stephen Street Salon in Plainview??

I also go to 2 Stephen Street regularily (and I live in NYC). My mother in law and sisters in law have been going there forever and they recommended them to me. Michelle does my hair but she doesn't do 'wedding hair'.

For my wedding, I used Sarah Rock (through Jillian of Georgous Faces) and she was amazing! I would have booked Donna but when I found out that Michelle didn't do wedding hair, I looked around, found Sarah and liked her immediatly. So, my Mother in law & both sisters in law used Donna from 2 Stephen Street and they all looked amazing! She went to one of their houses that morning and did such a great job! They are open on Sundays so that is a plus for them!

I really like that salon- it is very relaxed and friendly!

Re: 2 Stephen Street Salon in Plainview??

I have been going to Two Stephen Street for years. My hairdresser is Lisa, but I've been having my hair trials with Donna. Everyone in the salon recommends her, and she is great. Judy and Theresa also do good up-dos. I am also getting my make-up done there by Karen Loree. FM me if you have any questions.

Re: 2 Stephen Street Salon in Plainview??

OMG I had my hair done there for my wedding and so did some of my BM...
Judy did my hair, her mom is also a secretary in my office, which is how I found out about the place!
I would highly recommend at least going in for a trial :)
