I just ordered my dress! I want to get a veil made somewhere that will go with my dress. I really dont know much about buying a veil. My questions are:
1. Are there any stores that you'd recommend in NYC that make veils?
2. Do you know how I can be sure that the color/style goes with my dress if I'm buying it somewhere other than the store I bought my dress at?

There is a store in Brooklyn (Bridal Styles) that makes beautiful custom veils. I'm not too familiar with stores in Manhattan,
You can try bringing a swatch of your dress color to the store and they can match the veil to the material.

Not in NYC, but Barron's in Tri-County makes veils. If you bring them a picture of your gown, they can help you pick the perfect one. I went there this weekend and Yanna, one of the owners, was VERY patient with me and I found exactly what I wanted!

having a veil made! now thats what im talkin about. i havent found any veils that i like so i think this is my best bet too!!

Thanks! I don't think I'll be able to get to LI to try that store, so I really do want to get it in NYC. I just thought of another question - can I get a non-custom veil to match? As you can see, I'm clueless about how to buy a veil!
