2 wedding ring questions

Hi, I was just wondering about how long before the wedding we should get our rings?

Also, if you had them engraved, how many characters can you get engraved, or does it depend on the ring?

I know some people go looking for rings and take the rings home with them that day. For us, we thought it would be that easy, but we had to order what we wanted and wait for it to be done and engraved, and here we are, 7 weeks later and they are finally ready!

Thanks. I wans't sure if it was an orderign thing or a going in & just buying thing. I think we may get them engraved too, so I guess we a have to add on time for that.

I think it depends on if you want something custom made to match your e-ring. Or if you are going to buy something pre-made.

I got my ring and my FH's rings custom made. We went 6 months prior to the wedding. And we didn't get our rings until 2 weeks before the wedding!

If you buy something pre-made, then I would even start looking now, so you can find the PERFECT rings!

thanks, I think we are going to get soemthign pre-mad,e pretty basic, but I gues youa re right, we shoudlstart looking in case we change our minds & want something we have to order.

Hmm, I thought this was something I coudl wait on. Oh well, something to add to teh to- do list.

Any insight on the other quesiuton?
how long can your inscription be?

We waited until about 8 weeks before the wedding to look, we ordered them 6 weeks before and it took 4 weeks to get them, so they arrived last week. I think we waited too long b/c we didn't have time to get them engraved.
