we booked everything but band. we booked the hall, photographer, videographer and flowers. it feels so good to have that over with. we are meeting with one of our officiants next week. cant wait- but nervous.

This is what we have so far : we have Giorgio's for the reception; Keep Dancin' for our DJ (If you have any comments on them, let me know!); I just found out that my dad's cousin is the Mgr of James Cress in Port Jeff so I'm hoping that is the way we'll go and we'll get a good deal; Another friend of them family owns a tux place in Smithtown, so I'm hoping we'll get them there and at a good price.... whew!
Now I need to find some photographers, videographers and limo places to make appointments for when we come to NY in December!!! I just wish the wedding wasn't so far off!!!

Ok, girls, I am itching to start booking vendors, but JT really wants to wait until January when he'll be home from MA for good. I can understand that, but I really want to get started! By January, we'll have a year and a half until the wedding. I just want to make sure we get all the vendors we want since we are getting married on a holiday weekend. I think it just might be my nervous nelly side! I just want everything taken care of now!

I know what you are talking about rachel! While I was waiting for FH to finish taking the bar I coudlnt wait to settle things. Even now I am on edge bec FH is being so lax about it. Your FH may have a point in that he wants to be around when things are finalized. At least he wants to be involved - that is definitely a plus!

Although I still have been unable to look at halls because the FH is now on an extended business trip in Europe, I am pretty sure it will be Chateau La Mer because it my favorite (if I get my way) so figure me in! Thanks ladies!

Hi Ladies!
Sorry I haven't been posting, but everything's been at a standstill while we enjoy our busy summer. Just booked my tickets to fly out to Long Island in early October. Hoping to at least get the reception site and photographer nailed down since we'll only be there for a few days. I feel so far behind! We're also going to a friend's wedding in CT, so it will be a wedding-filled week. Just got my AmEx card in the mail and started racking up the points - gotta start working toward those free round-trip first class tickets to Hawaii!
How's everyone's planning coming?

Hi All!
I'm pretty much at a standstill with the planning right now. All the big stuff, church, hall, dj, photo/video have all been booked. Limos will probably be next and then the florist since I keep changing my mind flower/color wise. I'm also starting to get ideas for dresses, but don't want to settle yet since there's still a bit of time before I have to decide.

Hi girls! FH and I are in the process of choosing a band! YAY!! I am pretty excited- we are going to go hear one of them this weekend at a wedding at the Crescent Beach Club and then FH is taking me to dinner. We are going to get to Photo within the next two weeks also. I finally feel like a planning bride!
Glad to hear everything is going great with all the other brides too

princessrachel- dont be worried about vendors- trust me. we have the same date and everyone laughed at us when we were booking. you have time if you can wait we just did all the vendors this summer because it was the only time we had off.

i'm not going to start booking until december, but i'm pretty sure of the hall i want- villa monaco. i definetly want to get at least the hall and church done in december, and then we can work on everything else.

Another 2005 addition..MY fi and I are both in upstate NY right now and will be moving back in June 2004 and we were hoping to be married in sept/oct 2004 but between money, grad school applications, current jobs, traveling back and forth between LI and upstate often it has been very hectic. SO we have decided to put it off one year. Which means I as well am a 2005 bride. we are hoping for the 1st-2nd week in Oct. We have looked at a few places so far but have not booked anywhere as of yet.
