cj7305, we are getting married the same day and now I am worrying because I KNOW I should have started booking things earlier but I've been listening to my mother and waiting! KICK ME SOMEONE!

Hello fellow 2005 brides to be!!!

My date is 2/25/05 @ Russo's on the Bay. We are actually having our engagement party in less than two weeks!!! It's been real busy preparing for that... but fun.

We got engaged on 7/5/03 in Italy.

I can't wait to go dress shopping!!

Oh and so far we only have booked the Hall and church. We have a pretty good idea on who we would like to use for Video and Photo. Our next step is booking a band. We will work on that after our E party.

Hi Everyone!

I got engaged on 10/03 and now we're looking at a September 2005 wedding. Waiting for the CPA exam before I can even mention wedding to my FH but this board has helped with so many ideas. Plus now that I see the great progress that everyone is making it'll keep me in line to stay on top of things.

Thanks Attica. I have searched the Greek thread as well. This site is so helpful in so many ways. We are hoping to find a band that plays Italian/Greek/American music. We'll see. We may have to hire two groups. If anyone knows of any, please let me know.

I just wanted to say Congrats to all of the 05 brides. I was in your shoes too, we booked the reception and church 27 months before our date. I goes by fast, really fast. But it was the best thing we ever did. We never fought about money...it was just enough time to save.
Now we have just a little more then 7 months to go. And we are so excited.
Take one thing at a time and enjoy everything.

People say this all flies by.. but so far it seems like time has slowed down. Maybe because everyone around me is getting engaged before me yet also getting married before me!

May05bride, time will start to fly, I've been engaged for almost a year and I feel like it was yesterday. And just when you think you still ahve time, and people all around you start booking things and you haven't, you feel completely rushed! (gee, can you tell I feel that way?)

princessrachel- you have so much time still. i wouldnt rush. we havent been booking anything lately. i feel like we have so much time still. im going to wait until january to start booking everything else.

it looks like we picked a popular day. i know 2 other people that are also getting married on our day. it better not rain or their will be a lot of girls let down

Rachel -- I know how you feel! When I saw that someone booked one of the photographers I was interested in for the weekend before my wedding, I have to admit that I panicked a little BUT we DO still have plenty of time... with a year and a half to go -- I refuse to be rushed into booking!! We have to remember that this is partially why we gave ourselves so much time...so we wouldn't have to rush!

dbcrosby, I'm so glad you said that because we are waiting until January as well. Ontop of there being no time between now and then to book anything, it just seems like it's the perfect year and a half mark to start kicking into gear.

I'm going to start booking things around Christmas when we're home for the holiday. We have Giorgio's booked, but I haven't even thought much about anything else. When are you girls going to start dress shopping for yourself and your BMs? Someone told me that all the new designs are coming out in January. Is that true? I hope not because I was hoping to get that done in December too!
