Hi everyone! I'm sure this post has gone up before, but I thought that for 2005 brides it might be a way to get to know each other.

I'm a music therapist (I'm graduating on Saturday and HOPING to find a job ASAP!). I really want to work in a school, but anything would be good considering not too many people even know my field exists! LOL!
I also work at Fortunoff as a trainer! let me tell you how much I love that! I'm kidding!

As of May 14, I am now a law school graduate (YAY!). So, right now I'm getting ready to start my bar review class but til then I'm enjoying my free time--I swear, my apartment has never been so clean! I'm starting work in September at a firm in NYC. Let's see how long it takes me to burn out between work and wedding planning

How exciting for you!! where are you going to school? I went through the program at Post. And I am currently working at Deer Park HS as a leave. But if this darn budget will pass the second time around, I will be perm in September.

Good luck, I'll be rooting for it! I've been debating between Hofstra and Queens for a while now but I think that ultimately I'll wind up at Queens. People (on this board, actually) convinced me that Queens has at least as good a rep as Hofstra in this field and since I live in Forest Hills and work in Manhattan, the commuting time to Hofstra would bring me to near death each week. But, I'm giving myself until Friday to send in my responses. Do you have any thoughts on which one is better? Any help would be really really appreciated!!

Re: 2005 brides - what do you do for a living?
I'm 'almost' a licensed psychologist. Finished my Ph.D. last summer and am studying to take licensure exam in June. A long time in coming. Currently doing a post-doc in a hospital.
So, those of you who said you were working on your dissertations...Good luck!!!! You can do it!!! You're almost there!!!!
p.s. good thread. Very interesting to see what everybody does!
