Does anyone know if churches are starting to reserve wedding dates in 2005?

It really depends on teh church -
My church doesnt let you reserve a 2005 date until Jan 2004 -
But FH's brother is also getting married in 2005 but another chruch and they are letting them book now.
Just call the church and find out - never hurts to ask.

I reserved my church for our 4/23/05 wedding already. We are getting married at St. Martin's in Amityville

Our church let us book in Sept but we first tried in April.

I kind of hope that they aren't yet because we booked our reception hall without holding the church, and I've been afraid that the date will already be taken! Sorry, I know that was selfish of me to say.

I'm in the same boat you are nehaliasz...My hall is booked, but not the church yet.

Mine penciled me in but told me that they only do the calendar about 1 year in advance - but they actually had April 04 calendar in Jan 03
