Well, it's been 2005 for a total of 57 hours and 54 minutes. I have busted my @ss in public 3 times and in private, 2 times.
The first time was right after the ball dropped and I tripped like a splay-toed freak at FH's aunt's house while sauntering to the poker table. The second was walking the dog New Year's morning (I'm pretty sure no one saw that...except the dog and he total snickered and rolled his eyes). A third fall was in the mall with FH and his friend, the fourth was again in the mall as I was going into a fitting room (no one saw that one but me and my very embarrassed reflection. The fifth and final fall (so far) was about 45 minutes ago when I stood up from desk and the heel of my cute shoes caught the roller things of my chair and I went over in traumatizingly slow-motion while flailing and grasping for a handhold or something.
I am currently trying to become invisible for the rest of the day.

AND, I think maybe we should have a GTG IN Penn Station, just to see what kind of damage we can do!
No way! You two maybe doing the shock-n-awe of clumsiness, but my Penn-Station-Cute-Shoe story involves New Year's Eve and projectile vomit....twice!!
Oh, don't worry, you would be invited too!!! We couldn't have a virtual GTG in Penn Station without a monkey!! But, I missed your story...did you post it? I have to search....!!!!

No, I never posted it... it hurts me too much to relive the final moments of those shoes It was a bitterly cold night while we braved the Village to ring in 1999. I was with a lame boyfriend and and some friends (who, coincidentally, were also lame). On my feet were black leather boots so supple and soft that, even though my feet were numb with cold, it felt as though they were swaddled in clouds. They were mid calf and stiletto-heeled leaving me fashionable and wobbly as the ball dropped. As we fought our way to a train back to LI a callow youth walked right in my path where he promptly let loose his guts all over my lovely lovely boots. My lame boyfriend muttered 'watch out for the puke,' Thanks dingus.
On the train ride home, as I silently fumed about my pukey boots and whether I could clean them, a girl standing behind my seat quitely vomitted all over the floor. It slid right down the car all over my boots. the lame boyfriend helpfully offered 'ooh, you got puke on your shoes, you can't bring them in my car.'
The next morning I tossed the boots and the boy. I only felt bad about the boots.

I'm sorry but... I have to roll on the floor and laugh my a$$hat off!
I just had visions of that Saturday Night Live episode where everyone projectile vomits via a 'secret' tube up their sleeves!
