2005...year of busting my a**?

2005...year of busting my a**?

Well, it's been 2005 for a total of 57 hours and 54 minutes. I have busted my @ss in public 3 times and in private, 2 times.

The first time was right after the ball dropped and I tripped like a splay-toed freak at FH's aunt's house while sauntering to the poker table. The second was walking the dog New Year's morning (I'm pretty sure no one saw that...except the dog and he total snickered and rolled his eyes). A third fall was in the mall with FH and his friend, the fourth was again in the mall as I was going into a fitting room (no one saw that one but me and my very embarrassed reflection. The fifth and final fall (so far) was about 45 minutes ago when I stood up from desk and the heel of my cute shoes caught the roller things of my chair and I went over in traumatizingly slow-motion while flailing and grasping for a handhold or something.

I am currently trying to become invisible for the rest of the day.

Hmmm...I think that this means the year of the monkey is officially over, and the year of the rooster has begun....Fortune cookie says 'Prepare for many months on your arse...'

Have you been drinking during the day again? To quote Dr. Doolittle, nobody likes a drunk monkey.

Puh-leeese! Come talk to me when you've gotten stuck in a 50 ft escalator - resulting in its spectacular break-down - in front of 3 dozen angry commuters!!!

On a more serious note though...make the clumsiness work for you. I'm sadly no longer allowed to wash the dishes because I might 'break' one...or seven! (which just goes to show just HOW clumsy I am - we only have 4 dishes! )

Everytime I even hear the word 'spectacular' I automatically envision you decimating every escalator in Penn Station!

Unfortunately, I'm not that good, I can only manage one at a time

IT's funny how people buy shoes to purposely enhance their performance - you know, sneakers, hikers, tap shoes - I just buy the cutest ones I can find and hope they won't be the end of me!

when you try on shoes do you have the voice in your head repeating 'please don't cripple me, please don't cripple me, please don't cripple me!'

It has yet to work for me!

Very good philosophy. I pretty much have to have a shoes that is attached to my foot via laces or buckles. Yes, like a child.

I did have an incident once, in Penn Station, where my shoe was abotu 2 steps behind the rest of me as I ascended a stair case a midst the throngs of am commuters.

I also had shoe slipping on subway interior situation, that caused my foot to slip back & fall in the gap. Not as cool as LL Cool J would have us believe.

I have also been banned from ice skating, b/c apparently spending the night in the ER with me isn't Jean's idea of a hot date.

I hear ya on the buckles!!!! My heart says Cute Mules but my mind says no!!!! Ever since the purple plastic clogs that I had when I was 5, I have had a weakness for all that is bad for my feet.

AND, I think maybe we should have a GTG IN Penn Station, just to see what kind of damage we can do!

No way! You two maybe doing the shock-n-awe of clumsiness, but my Penn-Station-Cute-Shoe story involves New Year's Eve and projectile vomit....twice!!
