My Fiance and I just started just started looking.. We have been to Ariana Waterfall, Fox Hollow, Huntington Town House and the Swan Club... Right now my Fiance LOVES the Swan Club the best...

We saw the Swan Club and didn't need to look any further!

We're having our ceremony in the Pavillion ('carriage house' by the gardens), cocktail hour on one of the outdoor patios and reception in the Contessa room.

We've booked the hall - Riviera, - Photos - Patken, - Video - Wild Rose - Ceremony Music - Royal Brass - Limos - Cruise Control, DJ - Friend
Ive ordered my dress (for fear that my dream dress would get discontinued), will not have it altered til 2006. I have the souvenirs, 3 tiaras (ebay), Save the Dates Magnets(Favor lady), Unity Candles and holder (ebay), engraved fans (Jeanmessentials), Placecard frames (wrapwithus), Outdoor wedding flag (ebay) Cake topper (Things remembered). I think that's about it for now

I have booked almost everything so far...but I am a PLAN-A-HOLIC so you guys can't go by me!!

Let's see, so far we've booked...the hall, florist, dj, photographer, and videographer.

I have bought tons of stuff (once I got started I couldn't stop!!)...things like the garters, cake knife & server, save the dates, menus, programs, unity candle, sign in book, wedding rice, FH's wedding band, ring pillow, toasting glasses, tipping envelopes...and I have already picked out my favors.

I think that is it for now!

Whoo hooo!!!

I now have an absentee FI (on a submarine headed to the Middle East) so I was trying to do a lot while he was still stateside. Now I'm just gathering info etc. for progams, menus and little projects as I 'wait for my ship to come in'

I'm an October 2005 bride...and I haven't started looking for certain things, because I fear that I will find something else I like better!

Re: 2006 Brides!

Hey Ladies....I am getting married March 31, 2006...We have the church booked...I know who I am using for flowers & photo, so I guess once we get the hall booked I can move it!

We are most likely going with the Floral Terrace but things went on hold bc FI & I are anxiously searching for a house. If we find it, we might have to scale down the wedding...Hopefully by this weekend we will be set with the reception!

Re: 2006 Brides!

I have booked Manor East and just recently booked High Voltage for DJ. I have seen 9 or 10 photographers but can't make a decision. That has definitely been the hardest thing so far.

So far we have the Inn at East Wind, Tommy's Tunes (Joe E.) for our DJ and Premiere Video for our videographer booked. We are also starting our search for photographers.

Happy Planning All!

Re: 2006 Brides!

We know we want September 2006. I'm finding the more I look at web sites and talk to married friends and family, the more interesting things/details I've come up with. I know my side of the bridal party already. I think it's good to think ahead, but we chose 2006 rather than 2005 so that we can have fun with this and not be stressed out or just jump into things without carefully considering other options, there are so many venues and options just in Nassau and Suffolk counties! It's fun just getting ideas for now. Once September rolls around I'd like to look at places more carefully b/c being that I want an outside wedding, I'd like to see the ceremony sites in the same month that my wedding would be to get an idea of what the place will really look like for my wedding. I think outdoor weddings take longer to plan in some ways too and there are so many more options to consider. Not all venues host them either I'm finding out.

Re: 2006 Brides!

So far the phot/video was my hardest choice and worst experience. Hall, DJ, and florist I knew right away after only looking at a few but I looked at a zillion phohtgraphers and ended up going way above my budget b/c I wanted peace of mind in who I chose. I am confident in all of my choices.

Photo has been my worst so far but I haven't gone gown shopping yet! We'll see! Good luck all!
