Any 2006 Brides going to the Bridal expo on 9/27 at the Marriot in Times Square?

I'll probably go with my 'unofficial wedding planner' My Mom.

I'd like to go.. When does it start, and how much are the tickets???

It's tomorrow 9/27 @ 5:30 pm. I got free tickets from a link on the Knot.

I can't go. It's my mom's birthday and I'm taking her out. But I'm going to a Bridal Expo at Windows on the Lake on Wednesday.
Is the Expo in Times Square the Metro one? I went to the one in Marriot Uniondale a few months ago and it was a waste of time for me. Not many vendors there.

Re: 2006 Brides!!!

Congrats 2006 brides! I am newly engaged (9/3/04) and will be getting married 9/3/04 location TBD!!! I'm setting myself a deadline of 2 weeks from today to make a decision since it's Labor Day Weekend. This is my first day using this board, I think I'm going to turn into an addict. What a great way for us all to share positives and negatives about vendors. I look forward to reading your comments and you can be sure as I do my planning I will post my findings!

Jericho Terrace Brides - what a gorgeous place, I loved it. My only concern was I will have 200-225 guests and it looked like the main ballroom would be too snug with DJs and three bars. How many people are you inviting?

Hi everyone!!
I'm new to this site. I've been engaged since June 04 I have just recently booked my hall (Sand Castle) and am very excited but my date is 2 yrs away =o( I didn't book my church yet. How do I go about doing that. I know I have to call my church and make an appt with them. I'm also hearing from other ppl that we may have meetings to go to...Is this true?? So many things to do and it feels like there is no time hehe

Hey LaborDay

I think you could definitely fit your guests in the Dome Room...I'm only having about 150-160 in there, but with rectangular tables, you could definitely do it. Plus, the cocktail hour room there is the best for a huge party like that! Happy choosing!

First, congrats to you too! As for Jericho Terrace, we are having our reception there, on a Thursday night in the Dome Room, they lowered the minimum from 200 to 175 for us. The room holds 240. I have heard of them putting more people in there, but I can't imagine it. I think 200 is a good # for that room. I have seen it set up for 240, and looked a LITTLE tight (just a little), as far as guest getting to/from tables. My guest list right now iw 204 (and still growing), but that includes a lot of out of town family that I am not sure will come. Good Luck

KimmyKim7481, call the church and schedule a meeting with the priest you want to marry you. FH and I did that 1 week after being engaged. We talked about our relationship, how we'd met, how long we dated and such. I was nervous at first, but all went well. Good Luck to you as well!

I'm getting married on June 4, 2006, I booked my hall like everyone else did, and I also picked out my dress. It did not come in yet, I should have it by the end of the year, I will just have it preserved, so it will be good in 2006. I just had to get this dress I saw and it's the type of dress that will still be in style by then. I'm fast right.

Oh wow I'm June 4th, 2006 too!

Anyone book ADA Photography? I heard they are good and I saw them at the Windows on the Lake Expo tonight, but I haven't really heard any first-hand stories on them.
