How does 12-27-08 (ther last Sat. of 2008) sound?

I think we should do it the 1st or 2nd week in 2009 so all of the late-year 08 brides are back from their honeymoons and can attend the party.

I was just thinking that too. And it might be easier for those who have a lot of holiday parties in december. We acually may be taking our honeymoon in january though.. DO you think it would be hard for some to go if we had it on a thursday night or a sunday afternoon

sounds like fun, but there is no way i could say today that that date is good for me - i could be giving birth by then!!!

that'd be so much fun. I'm sure one of us would offer to help you deliver

I don't even know what I'm having for dinner tonight.

I'm down for anything - I DO like the WOTY idea though....might be cheaper...

If I'm giving birth then, that means I'll be 6 months pregnant for my wedding

That's SMACK in the middle of Christmas break. Things are always so hectic that week, a lot of people will be away, etc. Why not do it a weekend or two earlier?

I agree, i am a retail store manager. That could be rough!

i would honestly wait until we get closer to the end....for many reasons being what if there is an 08 bride that books that as her wedding date...i mean it is a sat night

I also think if we wait (and lets say we pick a hall that so many of us got married in) if we pick those open dates we may get just as good a price because they will want to book the date.

I am all about planning early, but I dont think this is something we can plan until at least half way through 08, even just for the sake of it's so far off we don't know what brides will join with what dates for their weddings

i love both ideas but its too early for me to know my schedule! CLM & WOTY both are wonderful but i would have to say WOTY sounds better b/c of $$ & its after the holidays- i wont be stressed!

aw, dont be sorry! it's such a great idea! and it's nice that u offered to take initiative and start planning. maybe like you said we can at least plan for a 07 year end party to welcome in the beginning of 08 when all of us will be getting married! that would be a lot of fun b/c we will all be excited that it will finally be 08!!!

A week night is a great idea. It will help us break up our week and cut the costs.

I like looking at the LIWeddings 06 brides gtg party. when did they have theirs?

I think that we should have it a few weeks into 09 but we always have gtg every month so 1 would be fine with me!

Hey and I thought that we wre all going to have our own 'sign' ' to take in pics like the other boards do...what happened with that? Was anything ever decided?

Not necessarily. If you were planning a wedding for that date, it wouldn't be weird to book this far in advance. If we choose a weekday, though, there won't be as much competition for the date and we can wait a lot longer to book.
