Re: 2008 Year End Gala
all along i thought you meant the end of the year for this year do you think it would be possible to do it for both years or would that be too much money? Maybe if we did it on a thursday night it would be cheap enough

Re: 2008 Year End Gala
I think it is a great date b/c it is my b-day. Everyone is in a great mood from the holidays. Check out Floral Terrace where I am getting married. To me, its the nicest place around. Good Luck.

Re: 2008 Year End Gala
That's SMACK in the middle of Christmas break. Things are always so hectic that week, a lot of people will be away, etc. Why not do it a weekend or two earlier?

Me too! Hadn't thought of that!
I can say with certainty that it's NOT good for me, because we go to California every year that week for Christmas, and I thought other people might go away then too.

I was just thinking by booking in advance we'd keep the $$ down, and I posted dates to get everyone's thoughts

Re: 2008 Year End Gala
I think we should do it the 1st or 2nd week in 2009 so all of the late-year 08 brides are back from their honeymoons and can attend the party.

Re: 2008 Year End Gala
Just a thought - what if we all went to the WOTY 2007 which would be in Jan 08? It'd only be $25 or so.....and would be after the holidays....
In 09 we could also go as the newly married 08 girls! (this could be in addition to having an end of 2008 gala!!)

I like that idea and am probably going next year too.. i had soo much fun this year.. but it is very hard to get everyone together that it wouldnt be much of a gtg.. But i def want to go to the one in 09 as a newlywed.. i didnt see the reasoning before i went, but i understand why newlyweds go
