Please state which committee(s) you would like to be involved with and then let the committee as a whole make a decision on who the chair be. I think that would the fair way instead of a person deiciding on their own that they would like to be the chair.
I can start: I would like to involved with the DIY projects andd/or secret bride.

the problems that I am talking about was that a few of us had started to take a good idea and start to plan it and tried to include and make everyone happy... but apparently there were some girls that felt that we shouldnt be the ones planning it bc they wanted to plan it... and now they dont want to do anything.

We were PLANNING on doing an 09 shower a LONG time ago. LONG LONG TIME ago. I think some original girls are very put off by new comers planning everything without them. This was something we were going to do when the right time came. Now its practically been snatched away
ya know ang, i cant completely agree with ya... i dont care about new peole planning it per say... i just didnt like the fact that people 'nominated' themselves as planners with complete disregard for anyone else on that thread who had imput....
So i had my say, as did many other gurls who felt left out, and needless to say, after all that, why would i wanna contribute towards it all? IF i dont like something, I'm gonna say it (as will many other girls) .... All I said was have like 2 people in charge of this whole thing: 1 for the place and 1 for the guestlist/santa thing but NO ONE acknowledged that AT ALL

I've been here for close to 2 years..I really would have liked to help plan something special for all of us.....Do what you guys want....I'll show up but I don't want anything to do with all this drama anymore
Please dont leave the group becuase of some unneccessary drama. I think 2-3 people for a group is not bad. THere are alot of things that need to be done.

I think this post has gotten out of hand. Please see the update post and let us know if you are in agreement and then hopfully by next week we will have everyone who wants to be involved with the planning set and then the fun can begin .

And i disagree... this is all being blown out of proportion... in all actuality NOT alot has to be done... you need a place, food, something to drink, and an exchanging of gifts....
everything else you guys want to add is completely not necessary.... you're all making this harder than it has to be and this is why i stepped completely out of all this...

it gets lost b/c people care more about drama than a good idea.. and thats very sad but oh wellz, its over n done with

i agree.... there should be TWO set committees
1- michele- misssque- since she is getting the place and 2- the secret bride ( i think having 2/3 would be fine)
anything else can be discussed at a later time...we can see if we can get some sponsers...anyone that wants to help...GO out there and see what we can get and let us know....it would be very cool to have 'free' sponsored music, favors, centerpieces etc...but it shouldn't be coming outta our pockets cause i dont know about u...but ihave a wedding coming up in 451 days
how does that sound for now?

I agree with you. This was suppose to be a great event and now its turned into this. I was talking to Michelle and a few others for the last few days coming up with ideas and we all said we would even put out more money just to have cute favors and decorations.
This is why we said so many people planning an event of this size is just too confusing.
