So I was super psyched for 2009, to be here but at 1:15 i got a call from my sister, she stated my uncle called and said my cousin was killed in Iraq. I dont think it hit me at first. The past couple of years i havent seen him, but i started remebering the last time i saw him he was 15-16 and i just became hysterical! i guess it made me think of my new years resolutions to be a better family member. Life has been crazy the past couple of years and we have all grown apart but maybe this is supposed to pull us closer together!! I will miss him!!

I am so sorry for your loss. That is just awful. I am so thankful for your cousins service, and the huge honor he and your family have provided for our country. He is a hero.
Well that is not a happy new years story...I am so sorry for you and your family. Such a young life cut short...tragic....I will keep you all in my prayers
