for those who have made their own programs...how much money do you think it cost you to DIY them?
I have been getting quotes to have them printed and want to see if DIY will really save money enough to be worth it
Thanks so much!

Re: 2010'r with a program question
For all supplies and tools to make my programs, it cost me $160.18. This made 78 programs. That's a skewed cost though, because I counted tools, such as the paper score, glue runner and adhesive refills, and ink in that amount. In terms of actual supplies, I got 3 packs of metallic cardstock (78 pieces, technically was suppused to be 25/pack but they ended up being 26/pack), a 200 sheet ream of metallic printing paper, and 7 spools of 3/8' ribbon (some double faced, some single, store ran out). I used all the ribbon, all the cardstock, and all the glue...I have about 45 sheets of printing paper leftover. I already had white cardstock at home from my shower thank yous, and I used that for the cover art, so I didnt count it in the final cost.
So if I take out all the tools, the cost/program came out to roughly $1.15, but HOURS of time and lost patience lol. In the end, I think it was worth it, because I love my programs!

Re: 2010'r with a program question
I kinda half did it myself… I designed all of the pages on Publisher but then took it to Office Max to print them out bc I didn’t feel like dealing with my printer, and then tied the pages together with ribbon. But Office Max was more $ than I thought it would be – so all together it probably cost around $120. (I think I made around 90 of them.)

Re: 2010'r with a program question
I got the prepackaged ones from Michaels for $20. It was a pack of 100. I did it last minute so I didn't add any ribbon or anything fancy but they still looked nice and elegant. Other than the $20, it didn't even use a whole ink cartridge on my printer so, add in ink and it was still cheap.
