2011 & 2012 brides...best hotel to block rooms after crest hollow reception??
Anyone know of any reasonable hotels to block rooms after a reception at crest hollow or fox hollow? Also, one that provides a shuttle to and from the hall??

Last wedding I went to at the Crest Hollow and the Fox Hollow, we stayed in the Fox Hollow Inn... Not sure how the prices run

I found you had to pay for the shuttles for hotels.
we booked at huntington hilton for $125 per night and the shuttle is less than $500 and it makes multiple trips and isn't that far away.

the holiday inn in plainview- good rates and they have a shuttle

I am getting married at Crest next week and I blocked at the executive inn and they include shuttle and breakfast with the price.

my hotel block was at the hilton garden inn in Plainview. the room rate was under $130 and i got a shuttle to make multiple trips for $350

The fox hollow room rate for a saturday night on the block is $189 - but they include a shuttle for you, and they also provide brunch in the morning. Also, the bride and groom suite is included when you book 6 rooms or more.

Don't book M a r i o t t M e l v i l l e.
They overbooked and when we got back from my sister's wedding, the rooms for the parents of the bride and groom had been given away and they were sold out. We were then told that they should have checked in earlier.
No one is my family will ever stay in a M a r r i o t t again because of this.

$139 for hampton inn jericho-westbury includes breakfast and a shuttle
downside is that there is no bar at the hotel

they also keep you on the hoook if people don't book your rooms - i think you need to have 80% of your block booked otherwise you have to pay

Our hotel block is at the Marriott in Plainview - $130 per person and I got a shuttle for $350

It was NOT the cheapest option, but we LOVED The Inn at Fox Hollow. The hotel was amazing, all of our guests loved it and they provided a free shuttle and free breakfast

We needed 60%, which stressed me for awhile

Did the Hilton Garden Inn in Plainview or the Holiday Inn in Plainview have a bar as well?
I have been calling some of these hotels for days and can't seem to get the person that I need to speak with on the phone ....why can't the front desk people just give me information? lol
