Did anyone receive quotes for 2011 and 2012? I am curious if the same venue went up drastically from 2011 to 2012. I have only been receiving quotes for 2012, but I was wondering if we would save some $$ if we did 2011 instead.

All the places I looked were offering 2011 prices to me for a 2012 wedding. There was no difference that I could see.

Well I guess it could work both ways. Things may be cheaper in 2011, but then you have less time to save. 2012 may be slightly more expensive, but you have more time to save. I think I may contact a few places for 2011 dates and prices. Sometimes I feel 2012 is so far away, but I am sure time will fly.

I never asked if there was a difference if I booked a year before clearly bc I couldn't afford a year before! lol
A friend from school asked for Dec 2011 prices and they said if she did Dec 2010 they would give her a good deal....

Thanks CrystalP81. I think some places might have different prices, because 1 venue I visited said 'we just finalized our 2012 pricing.'

2011 prices are lower, especially if they are within one year from now. We were originally planning a 2011 wedding so we had those quotes before we moved it to 2012.
So for example, it's August 2010 right now - if you plan a June 2011 wedding (since it's less than a year away) it will be cheaper than a June 2012 wedding because venues are scared they will not book any weddings with in a 1 year span...

Originally we were quoted cheaper for 2011 instead of 2012... I think they are trying to fill the spaces ..

The places I looked at gave me the 2011 price sheet for 2012. I don't think they had 2012 prices yet.

fyi.. I booked my wedding in late 2008.. 2.5 years before my wedding.
The price of RH went up a couple dollars per head. Nothing huge.
BUT vendors.. skyrocketed if I booked now compared to then.
One of my vendors literally has doubled their prices in the last 2 years.

When I went to CLM, they actually told me that they had to quote me for the future prices rather than giving me the price of the RH for what it is now, kind of a turn off...Another RH told me if i booked now, I'd be getting 2011 rates, which will go up 2% by next January.
