Donn'a post about a 2012 wine tour got me thinking....
What about if we planned the 2012 bridal shower in October or November and have it as a wine tour.
We can get a party bus. Have it make a stop in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk and then bring us to the vineyards. Then we can set up to have a lunch at one of the vineyards.
What do you guys think about this?

No need to apoligize.
THinking about it... Most likely it would not work out to be the right price for the Bridal Shower.
I need people to recommend places for shower so I can get on this!
Mara do we have a price pp we're trying to stay around? Let me know and I'll start making a few calls too...I plan events all the time so I'm down to help.
I was thinking the place should be no more than 30 dollars or so. This way if we have to add another $10 a person or so for decorations, etc. that it would be less than $50

I'm totally gonna be the wrench in the bunch for this one.....I don't really drink anymore so a wine tour wouldn't be something I'd wanna do....for the people that don't really drink those things aren't really fun. Don't get me wrong I've been on many of them (when I used to drink) and they're loads of fun though.
I guess I'm more traditional I like the cute brunch/lunches with a little spunk, like a DJ or DJ Chef, or cooking lessons thrown in, etc....something that makes it special with something to do besides sit around. I'm totally down to help with all the little details if we decide to go the more traditional route...

I don't drink as well so I don't see this as being fun for me.

Re: 2012 Bridal Shower
Okay random but my friend had a 50th bday party at a Karoke place in the city it was $50 a person but they had a private room with a privaet bar and it included food. Maybe they have something like that on LI. IDK just a thought, I had Karoke at my son's College send off party a few weeks ago and it was a huge hit, now add in some goof liquor(we only had beer and Sangria's) and it could be a ball! Just a thought.

Re: 2012 Bridal Shower
i dont mean to hijack your post buttt I think you guys should do the traditional bridal shower
the 2011 shower was so much fun! you can always do the wine tour as a g2g!
you would miss out on all the fun of a shower! we did superlatives games a gift exchange
it was very affordable! we did it at peppercorns
i had my shower at irish coffee pub and it was amazing! food service everything!
also do a search on milk and sugar an 11 bride had major problems with them, bugs on the food, staff kicking them out early, menu being wrong etc.
sorry if im being a downer, just wanted to help!
do the shower at a place it will be so much fun!!!
