We are October 19, 2012! Congrats to you all! Any suggestions on Photographer/DJ/Transportation? We live close by 1 town over so friends and family most won't be staying near by but has anyone made room blocks at any of the hotels near by?

We also live super close, in Oceanside! But we have a lot of family out of state, so will need to research local hotels.

Here's what we've booked so far:

DJ - After Hours Entertainment
They're one of BYC's recommended vendors and we got a great price. Plus, we absolutely LOVE Phil, the owner and MC we chose :)

Photographer - ********* Photo & Video
We decided to use ********* based on numerous recommendations from friends who used them. Their pictures and videos are beautiful. They were a little more expensive than other places we visited, but the work speaks for itself. Also, the owner, John, is one of the nicest people we met with, and very accommodating. He lowered the price for us! We had our engagement shoot yesterday and can't wait to see how the pics turn out!

Transportation - Cruise Control
We booked Cruise Control after I read about them on these boards! Our bridal party is huge, 22 including FH and I, and we can't fit into a limo. We didn't really like the idea of a party bus pulling up to the church, and I saw a white trolley on here. We visited Cruise Control and booked! Other companies also offer trolleys, but Cruise Control is the only one who offers a white one.

Good luck with planning!!! Have you booked anything yet?

I am so lost! I don't even know where to start! Is anybody using an officiant they recommend I am jewish and my fiance is catholic so we need someone to marry us. We need a DJ and a Photographer. I got a fairly good quote from ADA studios does anybody know how good they are? I will call your DJ for a quote! Thank you so much for your help!!! I will probably be asking a million questions we're so lost! haha

Haha no problem! It's so overwhelming. We didn't know where to start! I don't know anything about ADA, but I would definitely go with someone who is recommended. Feel free to ask any questions!

Re: 2012 Bridgeview Brides!

Sorry it took me so long to write this, I had issues logging on.

I am getting married at BYC in 6months and be happier. I am
working with Eric and he is wonderful, so helpful and so kind.

My wedding is at night and I want to play off the beautiful ballroom and make it very romantic. I plan to do every other table with high flowers in a mix of creams and candles on the other tables. I also will have up lighting in amber. I want the room to glow!

My florist is Dalsimer (one of BYC house vendors). Steven is amazing he was so easy to work with and not pushy at all. He also is doing a little extra since he is the house florist. I meet with a few florists and by far I felt he was the right choice. Price wise he is great!

My DJ is variety music. I booked a DJ, MC, Percussionist and Frank Sinatra singer for during dinner. The DJ will also be doing our up-lighting. They also are bringing very basic lighting for the dance floor (I am not into anything crazy)

For limo's we with went with always in style. FH and I got a really go feeling from the owner and after meeting with another company that sized us up we always in style was the company to book.

I am working on invites right now with 'her'. I plan to have her place cards, menu's and table numbers

my dress is from Pronovias in the city. The store is amazing!

BM's dress's are from RK bridal in NYC.. I saved the girls a lot of money this way!

Photo and video- my wonderful cousin is doing our photo as a gift! He does amazing work so we are so happy. He hired someone to do video for me to get me a great price.

I want to hear what you girls plan on doing!

Re: 2012 Bridgeview Brides!

That sounds great! I would LOVE to see pics after you wedding. FH and I haven't decided if we want uplighting or not, but if we do we want to do it in amber. I want to see the BYC at night with and without the uplighting. Our wedding is at night as well :)

We haven't gotten as far as centerpieces yet, but I think we want something low and inexpensive, haha. We're splurging on other things so centerpieces are something we can save on. We're also going to get a photobooth, I'm so excited!

I'm going dress shopping for the first time this weekend with my mom and my sister (my MOH). I'm SO excited!!!

Not a BYC bride but wentto my brothers wedding there last year and they had a room block at the Hampton Inn I believe. It was nice, it had free breakfast and we were able to get late checkout, it was the weekend of the marathon and we couldn't get bak to Staten Island right away.
