2012 LIW Bridal Shower

Ok... So I realized that I better get on the ball with this one!

I want to start to look at places to get an idea of where to have it. I was thinking of keeping it in Western Suffolk or Eastern Nassau so it is in the middle of the island.

Here is a poll for the date.

Also, please add recommendations of places that we can look.

What does the Bridal Shower Committee entail? Id def like to help out

What is the Bridal Shower about? Do we bring each other gifts? I have never heard of this!

Any of the dates work for me, but I will pick the Nov 6th date just bc my October is pretty busy.

Im very excited about this especially since I am not having a bridal shower and I get to spend the day with you guys yaay

We can make it what we want. In the past we have all been given secret brides and you are given information about their registry and you buy something from the registry. There would be a limit of lets say something like $25.

I know the 2011 girls made a cookbook so if we like that idea I would have someone on the committee to organize that.

In the past they have gotten donations from vendors (gift Certificates, items, etc) and did a raffle. You can have everyone get a certain amount of tickets for coming and if you want you can purchase more and the money would be given to a charity. I would need people to help with this.

Also would need people to get information on different venues. How it works is we pick a venue and then people would send someone the check for the cost. Once we get enough people for the minuimum then we would book the place. This way no one would be stuck if for some reason people backed out.

I dont have a ton of free time (except when I am at work LOL), but I am definitely interested in this idea!

The cookbook and charity auction sound like great ideas too.

Me too!! Especially since I am new to the site. But it sounds like a TON of fun.

Any date would work for me but I guess it depends how far in LI it is, I'm in SI and am a mess with driving to new places and directions

im in! i said nov 6th just b/c oct seems sooo close LOL! and the end of nov im always a nut prepping for thanksgiving and my nieces bday

honestly i dont really have time to help until the end of the month when the bar is over
