Not getting married in Dec, but if I was I would use personalized ornaments as our favors, and snowflakes as our theme

OMG this just made me so excited!!
I wanted December but it just didn't work out for us so we are having Jan instead.
I want tons of candles, branch centerpieces with candles hanging, the colors in my avatar... haven't really planned anything yet but there are some pics in my albums which kind of describe what I want.
I am def asking bridesmaids to wear black!

I think i might do black dresses for my BM as well..except my wedding is in May..do you think I could pull that off?
That or blue--but i feel the black is a safer bet ha!

I think black for BM dresses are good for any season! Black is classy and elegant and of course goes with everything!
I had the same thing with favors, if I was doing Dec I would do the ornaments but since it's Jan now I didn't want to do ornaments after Christmas.. although it's early Jan so the decorations will still be up so hopefully everyone will still be in the holiday mood!
I think there are so many colors that you could do for flowers that will go with black.. if you don't like red you could do ivory or champagne... I love peonies so I am going to try for those and maybe roses, not sure how they will look together though!
LOVE the branches with candles! My only hope and worry is that they will be just as expensive as flowers!!! My mom and I are going to experiment doing them ourselves...

love the fake snow down the aisle idea!!!
I think that we may do bottles of wine as favors, I know that's not wintery but I like the idea... was tossing around the idea of doing something like mugs with hot chocolate, or chocolates...

Re: 2012 Winter Brides
I like the tree branches with ice crystals as centerpieces. I cannot remember for the life of me which bride, either 09 or 10, had beautiful CPs with illuminating blue lights in the vases, so it gave the look of a cold night with ice. Beautiful!
