2013 crashing... Church help ladies... any feedback would be wonderful!

Hi Ladies,

I posted this on brides helping brides but i wasnt sure if you ladies are still on the liweddings boards, so i figured i would try here too!

I am in a pickle, Holy Spirit is where we are currently booked, it is right down the road from my rh, and will marry us even though we are not members or the parish at 2:30pm. We have recently moved and will be mtg with St Barnabas on Friday to register with the parish, they also can do a Sunday mass but at 3pm. They are further way. We want to be at our cocktail hour, and it starts at 6pm, any advice you can give would be helpful. I do nto know either church well, and i am scared i will not have enough time for photos. Opinions please....

I would honsestly say leave things the way they are. Our ceremony was at 2:30pm and our CH was at 7pm (the church and RH were about an hour apart) and we just had enough time for pictures and to make our CH. If you have no real ties to any church, you might as well leave things the way they are so that it's one less thing to worry about.

I would stick with the 230 one...you can always do things like have a ceremony and not a full mass...or not have a receiving line at the end..but i think you should ok with the time..

agreed, my church was at 230 and ch at 6....we didnt get enough time for pics but thats because we had tweo beer runs on the waay lol

Our church was at 3pm and cocktail at 7pm and I felt that was just enough time for pics. I think 3pm church and 6pm cocktail may not be enough time.

My church was at 2:30 and my cocktail hour was at 6pm and we had plenty of time for pics. We even had time to spare. Talk to your cousin she will tell you!
