22 down, 17 to go (again).

Original post by jannshari

Finally got my tush back in gear and back on WW and lost 5 pounds last week. I know a good 3-4 pounds of it was water weight, but hey, whatever brings the number down. Now I've got about 9 months to lose the other 34. Hopefully, it will come off as quickly as it did my first time on WW (20 lbs. in 2.5 months).

Just wanted to share and make sure it was out there so someone can remind me of this when I'm feeling all hope is lost in a few weeks or months!

'Hey I wonder if Jann's updated her Slim thread'

Jim said I should call you up on the cell to find out!! LOL

We were stuck a LOOOOOOOOOONG time!

So..it's tuesday!

It's Tuesday and I'm half-assing this lately. Same weight as last week. I haven't been counting and weighing things like I should and I can't stop eating for some reason. Could be PMS. Could be that I'm a pig. Who knows?

You have lost more weight than I have set my sights on in my imaginary world of goals.

Hey question....
How do you 'weigh' foods when you're out?
What's the $15 for? What do you get?

You've seen me eat. It's not like I actually eat a lot. I know I could probably be better at choosing WHAT i eat. Lately being allowed to eat fatty things again has so spoiled me!

I try to eyeball portions when I'm eating out. I stick with things that are somewhat easy to count, like chicken, salad, etc.

The $15 a month gives me access to the online journal, where I put in all my daily food, points calculator, recipes, food lists, etc. The message boards are free, and if I need support, that's where I go. It's the same as a meeting, except I don't have to write everything into a journal by hand and I don't have to look all my food up in a book and I don't have to listen to other people whine about why they didn't lose weight this week, even though they know they ate over their points.

Weekly meetings will cost you more than $15 a month and, as far as I'm concerned, I get the same benefits that those who go to meetings do.

How did you discover that you could eat cheese and fatty foods? Are you on meds that make it possible or did your body just stop having reactions to those things?

Same meds.. went to a Gastrologist (sp)
They did 'tests' which I wont get into right now.

There's no cure, as you know, but the higher verison of meds would be too much for me now. I never took fiber before. It's soaking up the liquid portions of my foods which is a GREAT help for me. It's really more of timing and balancing foods.

Im got going butt-wild on cheese and fat. Mostly because of two reasons...
A) Still too frighten I'll have an 'episode'
B) Since I've had this 'condition' almost 10 years, I find myself just naturally not choosing really bad things for me.

The fact that I can eat a slice of pizza without incident or pain is a HUGE success for me. Cheeses? AHHHHHHHHH Cheese. This has always been my weakness. I used to only be able to sneak it in, in small amounts. Now I can sit out with clients or coworkers and actually EAT off the cheese dish which is as I told Jim 'almost close to being nearly as good as sex' hehehe

Now Im just worried I may be going overboard. Before if I ate bad things I got sick FAST and painfully. Really easy deterrant to bad habits. Without that I find that I snack more. That can't be good.

WW would be great for you! Fiber is a big component in WW and the formula they use for the points is based on calories, fat, and fiber.

I've been through my share of tests at the gastroenterologist lately. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make grape-flavored barium clearly never had to drink the stuff.

I would have preferred the mint. I kept gagging on the grape stuff. It was like a grape milkshake.

OK, I think I'm going to hurl now.

Haven't a clue. Just got back from a 3 day convention in Albany. Ate like a pig and didn't have a scale. I'm going to weigh myself next Tuesday again. Sorry.

Up 1.5 pounds. Too much eating, too little willpower.

I'm not supposed to gain right before the wedding. Sheesh!
