2nd Dress

2nd Dress

We'd like to go out with our friends after our reception. For brides who changed into a different dress (or those who are thinking about it), did you regret taking your wedding gown off? It'd probably be easier to maneuver around at an after party in a short dress, but I'm wondering if I'd feel bad that I took my wedding dress off.

Thoughts?

I think once the wedding and reception are over, it would be perfectly acceptable to change out of your dress. Depending what kind of dress you have, it could be hard to walk around a bar/lounge in a gown!! Plus it might get ruined.

Maybe you can find a more casual white/ivory dress to change into so you still have the 'bride' look??

I´m not sure about doing an after party or not yet. It depends where we´re spending the night. However, I was thinking of doing this regardless. Towards the very end I was going to switch into something else. My sis did just jeans and a t for her wedding and was fine with it because she was just going to her hotel and did it at the end and left quickly. However, I´ll do something the color of my dress so I still feel like a bride. I´ve seen pretty dresses online for great prices.

That way my mother takes my dress to her house and I can be comfortable and not have to lug the dress around the next day.

I would stay in your dress! Wherever you go ppl will probably treat you like royalty if they know its tour special day! Its like when you first get engaged and every restaurant sends over a free dessert. Just a thoughts

REally? What do you do? Tell the waitress/waiter that you got engaged?
