It's a beautiful dress, but think about it before you decide to definitely change into a second dress - it takes a lot of time to get out of one and I personally wouldn't want to lose out on time from my reception... but I'm not knocking your decision - just wanted to point that out.

I wore a Maggie also. Honestly I think your original dress is great. Why change? Be a princess all day! That second dress is very revealing in many ways. It;s very low cut and cut very close to the body. That fabric is also quite revealing and I could be wrong but it looks like it is cut on the bias. My experience with dresses cut on the bias has not been good. I am a curvy woman and I have found that bias cut dresses look much better on well, women that are not so curvy. I find that the material gaps and stuff...
anyway. don't change. It's not worth it in my opinion. When else will you get to wear a gorgeous ball gown all day? If you want, get the train taken in and make sure the bustle is a good strong one. Have the seamstress make the dress a bit shorter than normal so you can walk around barefoot if you want and not trip on the dress all night. Maybe even pull some of the layers out from underneath in order to make it less bulky and more comfortable or see if the seamstress can make it so you can take those layers out after the ceremony. I would work with the dress you have before buying a second one.....
HTH!

Danielle, I love the 2nd dress (cause it looks like mine ). But I agree w/ the DIY BOTW, it isn't very forgiving. And I love your 1st dress. JMO Edited, b/c did I mention I love that 2nd dress? I wish I had time to buy it & get it altered.

I love the second dress, but I agree with the others. I'd stick with one dress.
Why worry about having to change - the day will go fast enough, you won't want to miss a minute!
I know you'll have to bribe me out of my dress at the end of the night! I couldn't imagine changing out of it for the reception.
However, that's just me. We're all different. If you would prefer a wardrobe change, then rock on with your bride self.

The second dress is gorgeous, but quite form fitting. Personally I wouldn't want to change out of my dress. These two diffferent types of dresses reequire two sets of undergarments, as the second dress is cut much lower. I would use the money for the second dress somewhere else, like spending it on a wardrobe for the honeymoon.
Your first dress is gorgeous also. I have a Maggie dress also and during the try on process, didn't want to take it off because it is so comfortable.
Follow your heart - only you can make the decision to have a second dress.

I agree with Yesenia and Heather...I actually tried that dress on...and boy was it a bad picture If you have a fabulous figure and you really want to take the time out to change- go for it
BTW- I don't know if you tried it on...but its kind of a difficult one to get on because the skirt wraps around kinda weird so the bow is in the back...

Re: 2nd dress w/ pics?
I love your second dress I was also thinking of doing a second dress. I know everyone says that the dress is so expensive you should wear it all night but what if you want to dance or just go to the bathroom without your whole entourage. I think a second dress is a great idea but I would only suggest maybe going with something a little shorter. I mean if you are going to go with a long evening gown you might as well stay in your wedding dress I would go with something that says I am still the bride but I'm ready to party and mingle and still be beautiful. Maybe even alter the dress you chose to make it shorter if it's not a very expensive gown.
ETA: BTW I love your wedding dress it's beautiful also.

Re: 2nd dress w/ pics?
The second dress looks like my wedding dress! I knew I didn't want a princess look, so I went for the slinky cut right away, but i must warn you...that fabric...it looks like silk...is VERY unforgiving. It must be altered perfectly and it is so low cut in the front and back, you may not be able to wear any undergarments (maybe somepads sewn in). I would try it on first, but dresseslike that are really hard to wear. I wouldn't even post full pics of my first fitting-that's how self-conscious I was and i am a size 4!! I actually joined weight watchers to lose a few pounds (I've lost 4 in a week already!)and the seamstress is taking the dress out a couple of inches to make it work. It has literally been a life changing situation! So, if you have read all of this and still want to go for that second sexy, slinky look, or if you have a perfect bod already, I say go for it, but...be advised, it will be a LOT of work!
