Sooooooooooooo when my dress came in and I went to my 1st fitting, it was HUGE, they pinned it up and did the alterations, I went back today (7 days later) and it was BEYOND tight, and the clasp on the back wouldn't close?! I was a nervous wreck! They are going to fix it again and I go back on Thursday! Has this happen to anyone?!?!
The same exact thing happened to me yesterday!!! And my dress was too short! They promised me they will get it right this time!
i heard something like that at bridal reflections in westbury, when i went to try on dresses there, a girl was waiting outside and she was fuming because her wedding was in 2 days and the store altered her dress too tight and they had to try to enlarge the back last minute and i felt so bad because it didnt look right on her, she was crying, her chest was pushed in because the top was so tight and it created a cleavage line on her back. I was at a loss for words. Freaked me out so now im all paranoid it can happen anywhere =/

im sorry it was carle place, i couldnt think of the area, i thought it was westbury. Just be on top of them for fittings. I told my dress place 2 weeks b4 the actual wedding date just in case
Not yet, my first fitting in July 13. We will see how it goes, now I'm nervous!

Just out of curiosity, could you please tell me where you got your dresses?
I went for a first fitting last Saturday and it was beyond huge. They wanted to send it back to the manufacturer which is in CA. At first I said fine, then this past Thursday came and they still didn't send it back so I told them to do the alterations in house. Well I went for a fitting yesterday and I was so upset, I went out and bought a NEW dress 3 weeks before my wedding.
I feel both your pain...
