Did anyone get a second job to help pay for wedding expenses? If so, where? And does anyone have any ideas for a good part time job on the weekends that pays well?

i had one for five months...not fun but it helpes. i waitressed at a Morton's down the street (i live in VA.) they are only open for dinner so it worked well with my day job. i would have kept it longer but a new manager came and i hated her. since i really didn't need it and got a raise at my day job, i said adios-but it was good for awhile.

I've been working a 2nd job waitressing at night and on the weekends. The job is fun, the money is good, however it's very tiring. I'm definitely overworking myself but it's only for a few months

I wish I could help you. I can't really get a second job because I already work ridiculous hours, M-F 10-7 and F-10-4, but if you come across anything that might work, let me know and I'll do likewise!

I have been cleaning houses with my best friend for some extra $. The $ is good but, it really is hard work; After working full-time, and going to school but, what are you going to do.

wow! That is a really tuff job to do! I can't belive you can do that along with your full time job. I can't even clean my own apartment I am so tired after work.

I work at Bath & Body Works on SUndays.....but it seems as though I'm spending more than saving....what the hell is wrong with me.
I think the waitress thing is probably the best as far as money goes.
me me me, I have since the weekend after we got engaged in August of 2003!

my 2nd job is a social worker on a mobile crisis team. I was all set to quit because I was so tired (My hours are Tues 5-10 and Sun. 2:30-10), but then I got engaged. Right as I was about to cut my hours, I got a promotion and had to pick up another day! So now I work Tues 5-10 Wed 5-10 and every other Fri 5-10 or Sun 2:30 -10. It is not as confusing as it sounds. I think once I am married I am going to quit.
If anyone needs a part time job (either msw or ma in psych or related field or BA in psych) fm me because we still need one more person!
