This may sound stupid but how can they charge for valet parking? If a car just drives up to the place, they don't know what event the passengers are going to. Plus their lot is huge. You can't force people to use valet parking. This is almost like the coat check person you have to pay to get your coat. Does anyone know the owner's name at Leonard's? It's crazy because I guess people just have to experience them for themselves. I can totally see how one can see Antonio as being off putting but then there were times when he was really nice. Weird. The issue of inconsistency has been my biggest problem with Leonard's. I went to two food tastings where the food was excellent and a wedding where the hot dishes at the cocktail hour were cold. Something like that can go unnoticed to the couple because they were being served in the bridal suite but I would hate to have my guests experience that.
yea i agree, well they did not force us to do valet, it was an option given to us for that price, and their lot is hugee...i think ppl can walk a few steps, considering the weather will be a summer night.

SOOOO...FH checked our contract and it did not state anything about valet parking....sooo, Leonard's got us there!!!!
I was really careful negotiating with Antonio when we booked the place. Have I known that little things like valet parking is not included, I would have negotiated with him to include it!!!!

I first met w/Antonio and we almost didnt book bc he is an azzhole-he was very rude to me and i did not like him.......
I have to agree with you on that!!! I didn't get a good vibe from him at all at first. He told me that Hor Dervs (sp??) are extra!!!!??? I told him that I've never heard such a thing at Catering Hall. He was acting like he's nice by 'throwing it in' for me. I heard he charged other girls for chair covers while it is suppose to be included!
One impression I got was that he wasn't very consistent with the basic items that he was given to couples!!!!
I'm still so worried about the cake too!!!!!! I don't want it to be hedious!!!![]()

i went to a wedding over the labor day weekend and have to say that the cake really did look nice. I didn't like the taste of the fondant but for brides worried about the look because of pics- don't . especially those who like the simple minimalist look. I do have to say however that by the time the cake was served a lot of people were on the dance floor. I don't think people care too much about the taste of the cake. This is one of those things that bridal mags, website, and shows like the food network challenges and bridezillas cause so many brides to worry about. Let's be honest, how many times have you heard people really like or dislike a wedding because of the cake? I was a lil upset with them at first only because they were kinda vague and secretive about the cake and cake tastings. I thought that was weird. Don't worry about the cake ladies. Worry about getting everything you paid for and them being clear about the details. I think we should all mention the influence of this website the next time we speak with leonard's and let them know that a lot of people are concerned. JMO- sorry for the loooong post.

the roslyn is supossed to be really nice. did you already book it? Is it closer to leonard's than the garden city hotel?

FYI TO ALL MY 07 LEONARDS BRIDE VALET PARKING IS INCLUDED, I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MY BM AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT IS INCLUDED!!! SO LADIES CALL UR BM AND IF HE TELL YOU SOMETHING DIFFERENT GIVE THEM A TASTE OF YOUR MIND
