I SAW SOME PIC OF WEDDING CAKES AT LEONARDS AND THEY WERE UGLY, GUYS IM SCARED I THINK I WILL PAY THE EXTRA FOR SOMETHING NICE

I am worried about the cakes also. I guess as long as it tastes good. Does anyone have any reviews about how the cakes taste???

FH is calling today to book a tasting! I hope he actually remembers to do it.

Sorry ladies for intruding. I hate to beat a dead horse but who here has actually tasted the cake from Leonard's? Who has actually seen pics or , more importantly, the real thing.? I have seen pics on here of the standard cakes and they didn't look too appealing. I'm pretty sure that we will upgrade to fondant- something simple and clean looking. I remember tasting a piece at a food tasting last year. The BM hosting the tasting said that they usually don't do this. It was cannoli filling. Nothing to write home about. The filling was ok but the actual cake was not all that. But I've been more observant at functions during cake cutting time recently and noticed that people really don't care about the cake that much. Maybe just the look of it. A lot of people including myself were so stuffed from the food throughout the night that it wasn't a big deal. I just want to see REAL pics of upgraded cakes from Leonard's. Please brides post them. Is there a thread of Leonard's cake pics.? I'm new to this. If there isn't maybe someone can start one. It seems to be a genuine concern for a lot of people.

Youre not the only one. I too have been obsessing over the Leonard;s cake ever since they told me that their cake book was locked up somewhere so they couldn't show me pictures! If they are that ashamed of their cakes you would think they would either hire a new baker or get their baker to come up with new cake designs!

Edited to answer menu selection question: I went with the regular menu but I got a bad review from someone who was there recently and I'm thinking about doing an upgrade. Does anyone know how much the menu upgrade costs?

Hey Janie i was in ur neck of the woods on mothers day!

So this mystery with the cake situation is making me nervous. I haven't seen any pictures of the cake and I haven't seen it in any brides' reviews as well!!! (Except for suven's cake....which is an upgrade but beautifuL!!!!)
My other question is: Do we actually get to do food tasting for their dinner menu? It was nice that they allow us to food taste the cocktail hour but I was wondering about the actual dinner!!!
I didn't upgrade my dinner since I did upgrade for my cocktail hour...Is the regular Dinner Menu really not appealing??
