Hello, I just saw a Leonard's of Greatneck Thread but it has a lot of older posts on it (not that I mind, I love to read any post on Leonard's ) I know someone else had a more recent post with up to date posted wedding dates but I can't seem to find it, so.... I decided to start a new one. I will start it off

cant remember if I posted pictures of our wedding cake on this thread... we did pay more for it, I think it was $3.50 per person... John from Flower Michele decorated it for us...

That is such a pretty cake! I think Leonard's only offers ugly standard cakes so they can charge more for the upgrade!

I am scared to see what the Leonard's Cake looks like. It seems to be this big mystery.

Where are you ladies taking pictures for your wedding. Leonard's does have some nice grounds but I wanted to go to a park with water, flowers.

hey girls do any of u know if they put candles on the ch tables because im not sure if i want my florist to put anything there, does leonards have bathroom baskets also ,

Has anyone been there lately. I went on Sat. to pick up the directions cards - BTW: which I think are big but oh well. And it looked so beautiful, all the new flowers growing in!! I am so excited!!

i figured that about the kids meals but it wasnt written i dont think......anyways since we've been having all the cake talk im thinking about going with an outside baker and seeing if they will take off a few dollars pp.....what do you ladies think?

I was actually thinking about doing the same as well....if i have to pay extra to upgrade my cake, mind as well get it from somewhere that I have confidence in!!! I was going to ask if I could switch out the cake and upgrade my Dinner Entreee for it!!! BUT, I was wondering if they are going to charge extra money for bringing in a cake that's not from on-site!

Yeah ladies ask about the cake. My mom is making my cake, and I got a another dish at the CH in place of the cake.

I asked about the cake also and they said if I don't get the cake I don't get anything off because the cake is their 'Gift' to me. Yeah right! I already signed my contract and it includes the cake but the number of guests I'm inviting keeps going up so I might raise my min if they let me drop the cake and give me something in return. Vicky you should also doube check that they'll let you bring in a cake from someone who doesn't have liability insurance. (assuming that your mother doesn't have liability insurance. When I called them they said all outside vendor need to have at least 1 million in liability insurance. This includes photographers! so I'm thinking it proabbly includes cakes as well. They require you to turn in all of your vendor's proof of liability insurance a few weeks before your wedding. I called someone to ask about a candy bar that I was thinking of having and they had liability insurance as well.
