3 dress shopping appts tomorrow!!

1 pm: Wedding Salon of Manhasset
3 pm: Macy's Bridal in Manhasset

Any tips or things to look out for at any of these places?

I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a long, tiring day!

I ordered my gown from BR in Carle Place. I worked with Lorraine. She's old, but VERY knowledgeable. I highly recommend going there, for bridal gowns at least. They have trunk shows and coupons and stuff released periodically and a good reputation overall.

Wedding Salon of Manhasset was good too - I worked with Christiana and she was a sweetheart. They didn't have 'my' gown there though - tried on mostly kenneth pool gowns when I was there (and lazaro).

I didn't go to Macy's bridal. Sorry, no input!

MOST IMPORTANT: If you try on modified a-line or ballgowns, they MUST put a petticoat on you. Remind them and tell them you want to put one on b/c day of you'll be wearing one.

Also, wear spanx if you have them and bring shoes about the height you think you might wear day of. Not all salons have shoes to wear.

Wear a strapless bra.

Bring water.

Eat before (it's gonna be a long day!)

Unless you're really tiny, samples probably won't fit you - don't let it get you down! sample sizes are stupid.

Lie about your wedding date - give them a date that's like 3 weeks earlier unless you really think you'll lose a lot of weight in those last three weeks. You don't want them to screw up and then you have no time to find a gown.

AND, make sure you wear your hair nice. I made this mistake the first time I went gown shopping - just hopped out of the shower and went with wet hair - hard to get a visual without the 'full' effect.

none of those places let you take pics...you will have to sneak it...hopefully whoever is with you is good with a camera phone!
