My mom keeps telling me that you should only have a 3 letter monogram after you are married, so it shouldn't be on items prior to the marriage. Is this true, I don't believe she is right.

Oh so your mom only thinks you should put them on things used after the wedding..like the menus?
IMO..I would put them on anything for the wedding day if that is what you want

I'm sure it's a superstitious thing. They also tell you it's bad luck to write your married name before you're actually married but pshhh a girl's gotta practice!
