The father of one of the boys found their bodies in the trunk of an abandoned car.
It appears right now that it was just an accidental death- they were playing around and got locked in.
People were looking everywhere and they were right in the area they were last seen
If school was still in, i would be teaching all my kids the importance of not playing in cars or how to get out of a trunk if they needed to

From what I understand one of the boys was developmentally disabled. To think that someone wasn't watching these children is terribly frightening. I teach developmentally disabled kids and even though they are teens, I still would not leave them alone for one minute not even with other children who are ok. This is a true tragedy.

front page of the NY post says that they are holding a 28 yr old man in custody on suspicion
maybe it wasnt an accident after all?
Still, I feel so much pain for those families

I saw the footage on the news of the family member opening the trunk and finding them. My heart is breaking for those families. I can't even imagine the pain of losing children in such a senseless mishap. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, but I can't help but think, WHY wan't that car trunk searched?
