Hi Ladies – Happy Monday! I'm so excited to choose the questions for this week! Apologies in advance if any of these are repeats
Today's question: Tell me about your engagement ring! Stone, shape, setting, etc. Pictures (aka EYE CANDY) are strongly encouraged. Also, what are you planning to get as your wedding band?
Answer: My e-ring is a simple 6 prong solitaire with a round diamond. The thin band tapers in slightly by the diamond and gives the entire ring such a delicate look. It is exactly what I wanted and I fall in love with it more every day. I plan on getting a diamond eternity band for my wedding band. This is exactly what I want though I highly doubt we will purchase it at Tiffany
I don't know much about my ring because we got it from my jeweler who bought it from an estate sale.
FH let me pick it out :) Its an antique vintage ring with 7 smaller diamonds. I wanted something totally different than what anyone else would have so its perfect :) When I tried it on.. I got the same feeling that I did when I had my first date with FH :)
As for my wedding band... it has to be custom made so I have no idea what I'm actually going to do. I'm thinking of a band modeled after my grandmothers wedding and with 7 smaller diamonds and curves to fit my ring :)
I am obsessed with my ring. The center stone is a little one carat and its a round cut with a six prong setting. It's a channel set band with princess cuts on either side. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and I think my FH has excellent taste

Pics are in my album but I told fh I couldn't have picked out a better ring myself. Its a three stone, round with smaller stones on the band that get gradually bigger as they go back. I have no clue what kind of band I want. I know I don't want an eternity band because I want my ering to have the most bling. But I don't want anything plain either. I want some sort of design. I loved my mothers wedding band. It was something I would love but she gave it to my sil because it was too small and can't be made bigger.

Mine is a prong-set round brilliant cut diamond with multiple rows of smaller prong-set diamonds. He picked the ring setting out by himself, and I'm so proud of him. The rock belonged to his great-grandmother.
My engagement ring is 6 prong TIffany Style 1 1/2 carat diamond!! I am IN LOVE. FH is the best. He knows I am classic/traditional and picked the PERFECT ring. He said he chose all the best in terms of cut, clarity and all that.
I picked an antique style diamond eternity band that has 1 1/2 carats around and FH added some bling to his.
Our e-rings are so similar! Where did you find your wedding band? I LOVE IT.
I know absolutely love the classic style we went to the jeweler my FH used for my engagement ring. He is my dads jeweler. He's in Manhattan at the Bowery.
What jeweler do you use on the Bowery? My FH bought my ring on the Bowery too...he used Dennis Dalton!! There prices are amazing down there.
That is who we use!!!! That is TOO funny. My dad has been going to him for over 20 years so when FH asked him to marry me, my dad said come with me to my guy! haha Dennis is a sweetie!
It's such a small world! I knew your FH's ring looked familiar...my FH picked the same one but he isn't getting the diamonds. I loved working with Dennis!

I don't know as much about my ring as all you ladies do!! All we know is its vintage- it's an Art Deco ring from the 1920s..
And as far as a band goes, I'm not sure what I want to do yet! I would need something curved or a puzzle piece band.. Or wear them on two separate hands and I just don't know!

I LOVE this question, and I wish my computer had been charged yesterday!!
My ring is exactly what I wanted. Literally, FH couldn't have picked better if I had gone with him and told him which one I wanted. He brought his mom to the jeweler with him, and his best friend ran into them so he went too, so it makes sense that it's perfect because they all 3 know my style pretty well.
It's a 2.05 princess cut center stone, with a micropave halo and micropave settings halfway down the band. I always catch it out of the corner of my eye and it makes me smile because, like I said, I feel like it really shows how well he knows me.
As far as bands go, I either want to go one of two ways. Either micropave inserts, or completely plain band. I guess it depends on how they look.
PS, Marie and Angie, I love that all of your rings are vintage or family heirlooms. I had wanted to originally wear my grandmother's ring, but my aunt is saving it for my cousin. I always think it's such a cool thing when a ring has a story to it. I hope one day my grandkids can wear my ring and be able to tell stories about it too!!
PPS, this pic is from when we first got engaged, and my fingers were a LOT chubbier. I'm super self conscious about it. LOL
Mine is a 4 prong round cut center stone with pave diamonds. My ideal wedding band would be an eternity band slightly thicker than my band! I eventually would like two for either side. My diamond actually has another diamond within it. I love my ring because my finger is only a 3.5 size and many other settings would have overwhelmed my finger!
