I totally had a question picked out and then Of course I ran into a situation this morning with FH. So that made me think of my Part 1 question.

Is your FMIL going to be going with you for your makeup trial, hair trial? Go Dress shopping? Anything that has to do with just YOU, nothing with FH?

The reason I ask is because I have my trial for both hair and makeup this weekend for my party. I live downstairs from his parents and I feel that if his mom is there its like not my moment with my mother. I am close with his mother but I dont want my mom being upset that she has these little rare moments with me and his mom has to be involved in everything. I feel its not her place to be and she can see me when Im done. I dont see my mom everyday and I want this to be special for her. She is so excited to meet the girls that are doing my trial because if she loves them they will be doing the both of us the day of the wedding.

As for the dress shopping- SHe hasnt seen me with my dress, I do intend on taking her to my first fitting!
Another moment I had with my mom that noone can take that away.

MY FMIL came dress shopping with me, my mom, and my MOH. We are close and I knew she was just going to say everything looks great anyways.
Favorite ice-cream: Vanilla with chocolate fudge swirls or ben and jerry's cherry garcia

My FMIL i had with me when i want to look for dresses..but my mom and her get along and she really didnt care that i had her apart of it ...and she will be with me for both hair and makeup b/c i have to make sure she likes it ...but she only has boys no girls so i though it was really important that she was there so have the moments b/c she thinks of me as her daughter but my mom really had no problem at all and she was happy she been there


My fav. would have to be not ice cream but yogurt the best part its better for u and theres this great place by house house its soooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woah, now I feel like a weirdo. I invited my FH's mom to my first dress appointment, as well as my mom and MOH. My mom and FH's mom get along really well, so I thought it would be lots of fun. Is it weird that I invited her??

I'm a Ben and Jerry's girl and can't pass up that Cinnabun flavor.


agree on both counts! i want my mom, FMIL and my 3 BMs (i don't have a MOH) to be there when I try dresses on...and cinnabun, yummm! FH has to hide it in the back of the freezer if he wants any lol

Not my hair or makeup trail - I'll probably just go to those by myself. I did invite her to go dress shopping with me (I have an apt. March 31). FH is her oldest and as she put it on Saturday when I saw her, she's never had to 'share' him with anyone (his father wasn't in the picture - they were both 16 when she got pregnant). So I definitely want to include her and show her that yes, I'll 'share' him (as much as I feel ok with ). I could tell it meant a lot to her. Then his sister asked if she could come (one of my bridesmaids) so I said ok, it's the perfect time for her to look at dresses anyway. FMIL keeps getting all teary-eyed over the wedding it had me concerned at first. I was like, those are happy tears right? She laughed and said of course, that she's honored to call me her DIL - she almost made me cry!

Favorite ice cream? That's like impossible for me - I'm an ice cream fiend. Mint chocolate chip, strawberry, soft serve vanilla with peanut butter sauce and oreos, or if I'm doing Ben & Jerry's I'm having Phish Food!

1- I'll probably do hair/makeup trials by myself. But I will bring my FMIL dress shopping with me. She only has my FH, so I do want her to have the experience. Plus if anyone is opinionated, it's my Mom, not her! I think I'll enjoy her company.

2- Cookie dough!!

Am I the only one who's mom doesn't live in NY? My mom lives in FL. I was visiting FL last summer, so I took her, my grandma, and my little sister to try on dresses for the first time. I was so happy to have that moment with my mom.

I am close to my FMIL and since I don't have family here, I plan to include her has much as I can or as much as she's willing to do.

I try not to think about not having my mom or grandma there. But we shall see when I go try on dresses. I have my moments...

My favorite ice cream is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

1. I am close with my FMIL and FSIL's, but I did invite them to go dress shopping. My mom wanted it to be something that we can share. I will probably invite her to one of my fittings, but I'm not sure if she will go since one of her legs were recently amputated and she is just starting to get around. I would like to her be involved in as much of the planning, but it just may not be possible.

2. My favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream!

1. I went by myself to my hair trail and with FH to my make-up. I went with my mom and my aunt to find my dress but I'll be inviting FMIL and the bridal party to the first fitting

2. Friendly's French Vanilla, tastes great when you turn it into an ice cream soda

My FMIL and I are very close and I am including her in everything. She and I have very similar style and taste and with my brother planning his wedding at the same time my mom's head can get very full and at times she doesnt seem to care too much LOL. When I go for my dress my FMIL will be there, she is the mother of two boys and my fiances sister in law didnt take her for the original appt, for the fitting and I think she seemed a bit disappointed. My hair and my makeup I am probably just going to do with my MOH and show the moms but we will see when it is closer.


My favorite ice cream is rocky road! YUM!!!! I can use some right now!

FMIL lives in Green Bay Wisconsin, so the option is not there to have her w me. I am not close w my mom so i would rather have his mom w me but at this point neither will be w me.

I am not a huge ice cream fan, if i had to choose, soft serve vanilla w rainbow sprinkles.

I took my FMIL with me dress shopping the first time. My mom and 2 sisters also came. I wanted her to come, she has 3 sons and will never be a 'mother of the bride'.

I took FMIL to my hall's showcase last week. I will also bring her to my dress fitting.

My favorite ice cream flavor is Rocky Road. FH got my an ice cream maker for Christmas, but I haven't used it yet. I think it's time to.
