Can this be true? I was told it was $60 if we go for 6 sessions, but because it would be MUCH easier for us to do a weekend they said it was $300. Can anyone verify? Sounds crazy... especially b/c getting FH there won't be easy.
Also, if I am getting married in Seaford does the Pre Cana have to be administered by that parish or can we go to another?

I don't know b/c my church does the pre cana and we only paid $50 for two weekends, for 3 hours each time.

We paid $200 for a one day 8 hour precana. We live in San Francisco, and did precana out here even though we're getting married in NY, so it doesn't matter where you do it as long as you have the certificate that shows that you completed it.

I believe our Pre Cana is $75 and our FOCUS (or whatever that is...) is $50 or $60.... We are getting married in Massapequa so I dont get why from one town to the other is such a difference...

We only paid for the books and supplies for the class, I think it was $65.... idont remember paying anything else

My church sent out a mailing asking if wanted to attend on Feb 1. It didnt say any prices (i went over it like 10 times with FH just to make sure, bc i know most girls pay) and when we met with the priest when we booked he didnt say anything about paying for prcana. Its like 2 hours on sat night and 2 hours sat night followed by a mass... do you think its possible its free? I would be shocked if it is, being that NOTHING really was free in this whole wedding planning process. TIA

We paid $50 and it was for a few hours on Friday night and a few hours Sat morning.

Our precana was part of our wedding donation to the church. We didn't have to pay anything extra. I think you can call the diocease of rockville center to find out if you can go elsewhere or to the dioceasan(sp) one

If you do it through the Diocese, the fee is $250 for pre- cana and $50 for FOCCUS.

Ours was $175 for a weekend (but we don't stay there or anything....)
I paid $175 for the 2 days Friday 7:30-9:30 and saturday 9-4:30 i went to pre-cana.org and signed up for the one in douglaston at Immaculate Conception ... They were great there!

Its true! I did it thru the Diocese b/c I needed to do a 2 day one and my church doesnt offer it......its 300 for Pre Cana plus Foccus
