33 days to go
So what are you supposed to do at 33 days? When I get back home from my business trip my dad said he'd help me make petal cones, Saturday I'll work out my favors with my invitation vendor. I'm supposed to do 'engagement pictures' on Monday with my photographer, but found out I have to go on another business trip for 4 days next week so I'm not sure if my manager wants us to meet up monday night at a particular time - I hope not since this would be the second postponement and FH is out of town the following week. Our engagement pics may end up being first anniversary pics - LOL!
I have to talk with my mom later to find out what the total number of responses turned out to be... she told me earlier that 2 more came in today - but the RSVP deadline was 3 days ago! How long should you wait to tally everyone up? At this point can you assume the rest are not coming? I think I may be a bit under my minimum. I'm kind of happy about that and yet not so much - I had a battle with my MIL regarding her other son's s-kids not being invited... I can just hear it now when we have under 100 people - she's going to tell me how the kids could have come and all. Is it okay to stand my ground? Some of the no's were strange - some had no reason and one was FH's cousin! I guess you can't hold a grudge about these things. Amazed me how many no's did not include a gift - I always made a habit of sending a gift when I could not attend a wedding. Anyway...
I need music help... my ceremony music vendor wants to know what songs she is playing... isn't that standard? Also - DJ music is making me nuts b/c I don't listen to or like dance music, but I don't think people will want to get on the dance floor to Life House and Dave Matthews which are the types of music I like. It's hard getting married when you are older b/c you are so out of touch with 'today's dance music'.
