TGIF ladies!!!! Have a great weekend!!

So the question for today is:

1. What was your first thought when you just got engaged?

2. What was the first thing you did when you got engaged?


For me:

1. My first thought was OMG, I am really going to marry the man of my dreams. I literally couldn't stop shaking.

2. We were in Paris on our 3 year anniversary when we got engaged. He proposed in a park. We went out to eat and went back to the hotel and started writing out our guest list. Yes, I know, we couldn't wait.

Edited to add: As soon as he proposed, we sat in the park and I couldn't stop shaking. Then after like 10 minutes, I was like, Ok, I really have to talk to someone, so we ran to find a pay phone so I could call my best friend.

1. first though, i cant believe this is happening

2. first thing i did after cry was call my best friend

this was one of the only moments ever that i was completely speechless, i never had experienced that before.

For me:

omg PARIS!!!!!!!! that is the most romantic thing everrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY CRAP! He gave me the kind of proposal I have dreampt (sp?) about!!! I serisouly couldn't stop smiling ear to ear!!! (and crying too)

I HAVE TO CALL MY MOM!

My first thought... is he serious right now?? is he for real??? am i still sleeping?? (he did it in the AM when i first woke up)

What we did... we were in the Bahamas.. we hung out by the beach all day then went out to an awesome dinner to celebrate

1. I can't believe he's FINALLY doing it!

2. I ran downstairs and started banging on my mom's door, lol.

1. My first thought was 'YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!'

2. We were in Key West with my parents and sister at a butterfly and nature conservatory, so FH and I just walked off on our own for awhile and then we took a bunch of pics. A couple are in my album

1) first thought - i told FH to get down on one knee and ask again!

2) first thing - since we were at my parents house, it was 5am so i ran downstairs to their bedroom and woke them up screaming with excitement

Great question…

1. My first thought was-OMFG!!!! He had proposed in front of a packed skating rink in Wollman Park and I was shocked!!! I was so surprised he did that.
2. We went out to dinner with a bunch of his friends and his Aunt (who came to the ice skating rink to watch the “magic” happen.

1) first thought - holy crap he's proposing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) first thing - called my mamadukes!!!!!!! she was expecting my call lol

first thought was.......IS THIS A JOKE!?!?!?!?! I couldn't believe it was happening....of course you dream of it and always wonder when it will happen but when I actually heard him starting to say all those nice things and get down on one knee, my initial thought was HOLY CRAPPPPPPP HES PROPOSING?!?!?!?!?! I couldn't stop crying and shaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First thing I did was call my mom and sis and then send out a text msg to my best friends....that night, we went out to the city with a bunch of friends......what a night!!!!!

My first thought... complete shock. i had absolutely no idea.

What we did... first thing we did was go to tell my mom (11am), then waited an hour till my dad got home to tell him (12pm), waited for my sister to get home from school to tell her (4pm), told my brother, SIL, niece & nephew (6pm), then text our friends & family. (FMIL knew already)

1. my first thought was....... is this man freakin crazy!!!!! we just bought a house 6months prior so for him to spend money on a ring, well i was in shock!!

2. i kept telling him he was crazy for about 10mins!! i told him i loved kissed him hugged him and called my sister right away. then i made 15 other phone calls

FIrst thought was OMG im shocked, Seriously!!! OMG!

Then because he proposed in front of my fam we went to see his dad at the hospital and of course he was excited and gave me a big hug.

We lived together for 10 years prior to getting engaged. We own a house together, it's like we were married. So my first thought was ' Wow where did this come from?' It was like a baseball came out of nowhere & hit me in the head!
The first I did was give him a major bootie call. Somehow that bootie call was better than any!

First thought was omg omg...I texted everyone and then called my mom. I also insisted that I go into work to show the girls since they all knew that I thought it wasn't happening soon.

The first thing I did was tell my mom we weren;t getting married in a church and she bugged...ruined the high of being engaged...but she got over it

1. FH didnt let me tell anyone b/c he asked me to wait until a few days later my 2nd ring will come, so my 1st thought was 'can I at least tell the waiter????? ugh!!!!'.
mostly the 1st hour was utter disbelief that I am getting married.

2. the 1st thing I did was to go to the bathroom to get a better look at my e-ring cause the lighting in the bathroom was better and bright.

My first thought was 'No effing way, he's such a liar' lol because we always play jokes one each other, and it was just a week after I turned 20 and it was just 3 days after we moved into our apartment! I didn't believe him and it took him a lot of convincing before I finally did believe that it was for real! Poor guy. lol.

The first thing I did was called my mom to see if it was true, since she knew about it. lol.

1. I was in shock!!!

2. First thing we did was go get a bottle of champagne and then go up to our hotel room and call our families!

1 - couldn't believe that it was finally happening, I was so sure for months he was going to do it on our wk of 2 dave matthews concerts and trip to hershey park 9 months before when we planned it and then was convinced the weeks before he still did not have the money and it was never happening!

2 - I screamed (seriously, word for word while jumping 3 feet away from FH on bed) 'This isn't effin happening' and started crying. then i called my mom!
