What are some things you dislike about wedding planning??

1) How expensive everything is. I want my dream wedding, but sometimes I think we should just have a much smaller wedding and use the money towards a house.

2) Everyone telling me, 'oohhh you have sooooo much time, why did you book everything now?!'

OMG u took the words right out of my mouth......its so annoying when people say that, especially when its my fh saying that haha

I haven't really found anything I don't like planning about the actual wedding. I am finding that I don't like doing the planning alone, without FH.

ITA on both.
1. its crazy how much everything is. Whats funny is that now i think in terms of wedding money...like 1000 is not too bad.
2. .you know people said that to me too and now look im 10 months away...suddenly its not so far away but, i got a majority of my vendors booked and i can enjoy doing those little things and take my time with them.

This is exactly my reasoning... My brother is getting married in October, and his fiance still has so much to do. She is stressing out, especially since they are moving in together next month.. She's one of the people who is constantly saying this to me, and I'm like HELLOOOOO this is why I am doing it so early, so I won't stress out. Plus there is no harm in getting it done, and the vendors that you want in your budget, rather then having to settle.

2. How people dislike something we do. It's not your wedding, it's mine. You don't have to like it. Everyone has an opinion on everything, yet not one person is helping us pay for anything.

I hate the slimeballs that come out of the woodwork. As soon as they hear wedding they see $$$$. I really dislike pushy vendors. Total turnoff and takes the romantic appeal out of a wedding and makes it feel like it's a business dinner.

I hate all the choices lol. purple,lavender, lilac, freesia- every decision has 5 million variations to choose from. Gives me a headache.

I have found the whole process overwhelming. There are so many decisions, choices, and like everyone has said everything is so expensive.

oman I agree giving out all the money lol. I make a payment to my RH and 2 days later I get a letter saying Just a reminder your next payment is due next month. It's like oman Just give me a break

i have to agree with the money and the criticism. why can't ppl just let us be happy with our decisions? It's OUR wedding, not theirs!!!

Good question!

I don't like how much money I'm shelling out for everything. I feel like I need to get all of those extra little details (that I know nobody will notice but me), and the best of the best as far as vendors, but my budget just doesn't allow me to do so

I'm also not a fan of my 'friends' not taking my wedding seriously. Considering I'm the only one in my close-knit group who is getting married, nobody asks about how things are going, nobody offers to help me with anything, and these girls are my BMs!! I feel like FH and I are the only one's who believe this will happen. It's rather depressing now going out with our friends.

I would say, everyone questioning what I want to do for MY wedding and feeling like I don't have enough money to do anything.

Definitely the money... it seems like whenever you tack on the word 'wedding' to something - it immediately doubles in price...

The competition to book exceptional vendors

Everyone else's opinions... There are some things that I do/don't want to do and support is always nice but I can live without all the negativity I am sometimes faced with lol
