Glen Cove Mansion is 15 minutes closer to our RH and we went to visit-- the mansion part is stunning, but the hotel part and guest rooms were just okay to me.
We have not visited the Sheraton yet because we haven't had time, but they sent me a great proposal and the rooms look nicer from pictures.
What do you girls think? Somewhere closer to my RH with some great picture ops at the mansion or nicer guest rooms that are further away at the Sheraton? I have a daytime wedding, so I need to watch time very closely.
Thanks so much, lately I feel every decision is so stressful!
However, I might have finally found a photographer

Re: 4 Points Sheraton Plainview vs Glen Cove Mansion
I think the two are totally different. How are the prices for glen cove mansion??? I live across the street from the Plainview 4 points sharaton (in the new seasons development) and it's right on the service road...it's nice enough as a hotel but I think in comparrison to Glen cove mansion it doesn't compare. The drive up to the mansion is beautiful....if the pricse are the same and the mansion is closer i say go for that one!

Re: 4 Points Sheraton Plainview vs Glen Cove Mansion
The Four Points has a really small bar area, so if you are looking for something for after your wedding, this is not the place. It's an ok place, not really enough room to hang out. We cancelled our booking here and went with the Melville Marriott. Actually got a better price deal too.
If it is photo ops you want, then go with the mansion.

Re: 4 Points Sheraton Plainview vs Glen Cove Mansion
we used the 4 pts sheraton for ourselves and our oot guests. it worked out really nice and they decorated the bridal suite for us w/ rose petals all over the place and candles on the jacuzzi.
they did good by us! we also hosted a brunch there the next morning and the buffet was great!

Re: 4 Points Sheraton Plainview vs Glen Cove Mansion
thank you so much! oe282: Glen Cove regular rooms are a little more and the suite is twice as expensive as Sheraton.
susiBtoM Good to know that the Sheraton bar is small-- we will probably have an after party at whatever hotel we book.
evnme Glad Sheraton treated you well.
So, I think I have to make a trip out to Sheraton and see it in person. I love the GCM property, but the rooms are not thrilling me for the price. The Sheraton looks nicer, but it's further away, so I have to see if I like their rooms are really great in comparison.
