400 carnations?

400 carnations?

anyone out there doing their own CPs??

I was thinking of doing my own CPs for my eparty

but then i realized that I needed 50 carnations for each CP...

soooo I would need 400 carnations!!

how the heck do I go about buying these?
do i just call a florist or is there a wholesale place I can go to purchase these?

i googled it, it seems pretty easy...you need 50 stems for each ball and then one of those floral foams...


the only problem is where do you get the base from??!!

This is a great site to get wholesale flowers. I might end up using them if we make our own centerpieces.

You click on wedding flowers, click on the month that you want them for, then click on the type of flower. It will give you a break down of the price for that month.

i saw the same pink ones but i like the single thick stem, yeah they are gorgoues and simple and not common i love them

Try ordering them for Costco! I've heard people get really good deals from there!

Just go into the city into the flower district you can definitly buy that kind of quantity there for very cheap.

Yeah i heard about costco being cheap,, but you can also go into the flower district in NYC and get good prices from them. I think the local florist is going to charge u alot.

i live in long island...so it will be rough for me to go to NYC the day before the eparty to get them...

what i meant by checking with the florist...is i want to see if it will actually save me money by DIY or if the florist price will be reasonable.

I love your idea. check save-on-crafts.com. they have the topiary tree forms. They have the styrofoam balls too. They are a bit pricey.

I went to a garden center near my house and they had some really pretty mums - I had my engagement party in October. That may be the cheapest way to go.

You should be able to find cheap terra cotta pots at Michael's and paint them. That's what my mom did for my shower.
