ooooooooo.....this is my color theme as well !!

What if you found pictures of old classic movies stars like Audrey and Katherine Hepburn, Marilyn, etc and used their pics as Table #'s...that would be nice!! You could probably do it on your PC.......

Candles. TONS of candles. It really depends on what kind of look you want. Mm like you can be cute and name the tables after a major movie hit of that era or by the name of a film star of the era. I don't know what your derss is like or hair ideas, but if you want to invoke the style yourself or have your BMs do it, look at actresses like Gwen Stefani or Christina Agulera and Scarlett Johanssen who pull off that Old Hollywood feel really well. I'll see if I can find pics.

Hmm decor...

You can be really cute and roll a red carpet from the entrance through the center. use a lot of baloons- in shiny gold and silver. Think balloon clusters, balloon arches, balloon columns, and balloon drops. Normally i would have suggested using red roses but because your colors would clash, use all white ones in maybe cyrstal cute vases so they catch the light ot plain vases but derss them up with silver ribbon. You can get inexpensive vintage movie posters, Hollywood street signs, and personalized 'Walk of Fame' stars. Like at your table for example, maybe DIY walk of Fame stars with your name and the FH's. Or you can do those for place cards! That would be sooo cute. Each person would get their own star with their name and table.

What else hmmm. Name the tables after Old Hollywood screen stars: Spencer Tracey, Katherine Hepburn, Clark Gable, Grace Kelley, Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, William Powell, Audrey Hepburn, James Stewart, Ingrid Bergman.
Or name them after Hollywood streets: Hollywood Boulevard, Vine Street, Sunset Boulevard, Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue, Sunset Strip, Santa Monica Boulevard.

um for cps ideas:
fake oscars or film reels, for centerpieces, film canisters, bullhorns, or those movie clapboards for table markers-you could write the table numbers on them in white paint.

Umm for music when you're dining maybe, play light, jazzy thirties tunes (the delectable Ella Fitzgerald and anything Cole Porter), plus movie music from the Golden Age like Marilyn Monroe: Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend, Some Like it Hot, Happy Birthday Mr. President , Singin' in the Rain, True Love, Over the Rainbow

Hope some of this helped lol. I LOVE Hollywood glamour! My wedding day jewlery has a vintage feel.

Re: 40s Glamour in November

Awesome ideas! Thanks so much!!! It def. helps.. i feel like i have a lot more to work with now..!!!!
i did send my BMs some really nice dresses that make me think of that era.. and we are def. gonna go for the hair being old Hollywood glamorous...
i actually thought of doing the red carpet thing... except i thought maybe when they announce the bridal party at the reception we can walk in on a red carpet and the girls could wear a feather boa and sun glasses and the guys can wear a fedora and hold a cigar in their mouth or something like that.. i thought it would be cute and really fun. None of my girls are shy by any means... but when you play a 'part' so to speak you can really come out of your shell.
I wanted it to have that feel without going to much into theme land.. but yet have subtle touches that make it feel everything is classy and glamorous like it was back then!
I love the idea of white roses.. and candlelight.. i love the way that makes a room feel! and i just feel like you can't go wrong with roses and candles.. i just got a great picture in my head !!!! You really have a lot of great ideas! thanks so much!!!

Thats why we're here-to help heh. My plans are all done so now outsourcing. Hope it works out. OH! That movie umm what was it called. DeLovely? or even the Notebook? Look at their hair and ways places are set up-always lots of candlelight and roses are classic. Gwen Stefani and AChris Aguilera do it really well too.

I like the feather boa idea-so cute.

Re: 40s Glamour in November

ps: if u're having a martini bar(or even have 2 or 3 signature drinks) - u could also name them after movie stars as well :)
ie: instead of a white chocolate martini, call it
'The Marilyn' (and then list what's in it)
you could print out a little menu to display on the bar with with little face avatars next to each drink maybe????
