FH and i are having a 4th of July party on long Beach at our apartment to watch the fireworks. I just called LB town hall and they arn't having fireworks on the 4th!!!! And point lookout has them this weekend and Lido doesn't do them! So now we are having a 4th of july party with no fireworks!

BOOOOOO!! But who needs fireworks to have a good time? Just enjoy the time with your friends!! Im sure your party will be great no matter what! Especially since you're right by the beach!

Not that I’m condoning illegal activity, but I’m sure someone around the neighbor will be setting fireworks off themselves. I know it’s not the same—sorry!

haha I was just saying to my friend at work that I bet there will be someone letting them off anyway! haha.
I always get really mad when something keeps me from seeing fire works on the 4th. i bet in my 26 years of life, I have only seen fireworks on the 4th like 5 times. its always something- work, weather, or just not having them.

There will probably be fireworks on TV! (Okay, I realize that doesn't help - it's sort of like watching the Yule Log on TV instead of a real fire... but it's something! )

Lol, there’s always someone! And there’s always someone who needs to start early on the 3rd or even the 2nd!

jones beach is having fireworks on the 4th maybe you could see them from long beach.

jones beach is having fireworks on the 4th maybe you could see them from long beach.
I lived on the water on the East End of Long Beach. You can't see the Jones Beach fireworks from there... but you can hear them! It's like a really mean tease!

Actually... on second thought, we couldn't see them from our TERRACE... I bet you could see some of it from the actual beach!!
