i find out that the columbus day parade in my neighborhood starts 15minutes before my 1st limo pick up is scheduled to pick up the boys, and when the photog is supposed to come meet us at my parents house!!!!!!! that blocks off crossbay which is how you get in, out and around howard beach!!!! what I do?! who do i call first!?

call the limo company and find out how early they can come then call the people they are picking up and tell them the time has to be bumped up

well they can probably get in at 156th Avenue and drive up the side streets. You could try calling the 106th precinct to ask which avenue will have access to the side streets.
Do you live in New or Old Howard? (I live by OLG).
don't freak out just yet......I'm sure the limo driver can work around the parade.....and as for the photographer just give him directions for getting around Crossbay. good luck!!

That s*cks but don't freak out yet. Be happy you found this out now and not the day of because there is still time to figure it all out.
I too suggest calling the local precient to find out the what will be closed, what will be open and where they will be redirecting traffic.
Then call your limo company and go over the options with them. It may mean bumping up times a little, but better that then being stuck in traffic and being late!

where does the parade start? dont panic - where are they coming from . . . maybe they can just go over cohancy street and come in and out that way. . .
i would call the limo company i bet they will know an alternate

don't worry! My sister is getting married the same day and the limo companies are just going to use the cohancy street exit AND I've heard that they are going to turn the side of crossbay that they aren't using for the parade into a two way street so traffic will still be able to move along.
Just breathe! It will all work out! No worries!

ok so i called the 106pct and this is the thing, the parade starts at 1 but they are closingx-bay from 156 down until like 4 pm they said. so people getting to my parents house wasnt a problem b/c like u all said the cohancy st exit will do but he's going to be in new howard at his brothers house, also my other worry was his limo is coming back to pick up the bridal party after the drop people off at hjc in richmond hill so i was worried about the traffic it will cause. im still not freaking to much im trying to stay calm but its super hard hopefully tomorrow ill be able to come up with something when i can talk to the limo guys
