58 Cent Stamp

I know there's been threads about this before, but I was just at the post office buying my stamps - and in fact the new 58 cent stamp does not go on sale until mid-June.

In my oppinion - why would you change the price from 63 to 58 cents today, but not make the stamp available for another month? Baffling!

If you need to buy stamps before June - there are 2 options. Get a 41 cent stamp, plus a 17 cent stamp - or, just get the 63 cent stamp. That's what I did - I paid $5 more for 100 stamps, but it was better then the 2 stamps, because the only 17 cent stamp available was a picture of a Ram.

Also, there were NO love stamps available yet at all (41 or 58 or 63), so I settled with the 63 cent Grand Canyon stamp.


Just a heads up!

Fh had to go to three post offices today to find 0.63 cent stamps (he was able to get the wedding love stamp)

if you want the 63 cent love stamp-- go online www.usps.com you can find it there and they mail it out quickly-- 3-5 buisness days (I got mine in 3)

you can only buy them on usps.com as a package with the 0.39 cent stamps.

and I already put 41 cent stamps on my rsvps!

For the RSVP's I bought the Jamestown Settlement stamps which are triangles with a ship and blue sky on them. The shape is a little different and makes up a bit for not being a wedding stamp - - in case anyone wants an alternative to Liberty Bell or Flag.

I was told the wedding stamps might not be out until early July as opposed to the June25th date they have been advertising! So I'm going with my alternative of 39 cent Disney Romance and 2 penny stamps ( with orange falcons which are a bit nicer than the necklaces). - - That's if you can get by with 1 oz.
