Helloo everyone and Happy Friday!!! I'm typing this up early today bc since I have that volunteering event in Brooklyn, I won't be able to be on for most of the day
. Pray I get a parking spot! lol
Today's question makes me laugh a little bc we always jokingly battle about this in FH's house. There are just so many of us getting married soon that we always compare how we want it to be done. (I think I'm the only bride though that still sticks her ground haha).
Anyway, for your first introduction, whether it be at the church by a priest, officiant, when first coming into the reception hall, whenever, how do you want to be introduced??
I know the traditional way is to say Mr. and Mrs. and then FH's name but sorry for those who don't agree I am HIGHLY against that for us personally. I feel like excuse meeee I have a name too, thanks!!! hahaha. I feel like it stems from the wayyy olden days when the woman wasn't considered important and she was taken into her FH's life and he controlled all (I realize I sound a little silly, please don't take offense, more laughing than serious when I'm typing this). So, I am insistingggg on being introduced (both at the church and reception hall) as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jenna _____. I also realize a lot of people don't agree with this bc like I said I'm the only bride-to-be in FH's family right now who wants it this way lol but oh well!
K, enjoy answering!!! Also, I hope no one takes offense to my reasoning, it's really JMHO for us personally. I will still get up and scream and cry for any couple that gets introduced in the traditional way!
