FH may disagree but we haven't spoken about this yet. I don't think its a big deal to him.

im fine with the traditional way.. but im not opposed to having both the bride and grooms first names said.

Jenna, I TOTALLY agree with you. I totally dislike when a woman is identified by a man's first and last name. It's totally wrong in my opinion. I can understand it being said at a wedding when the couple is introduced, but in everyday life and on mailings and invites, etc. I think it is so wrong. I am not going to lose my name, my identity, just because I get married. It's a little too much IMO.

Anyway, for your first introduction, whether it be at the church by a priest, officiant, when first coming into the reception hall, whenever, how do you want to be introduced??

I know the traditional way is to say Mr. and Mrs. and then FH's name but sorry for those who don't agree I am HIGHLY against that for us personally. I feel like excuse meeee I have a name too, thanks!!! hahaha. I feel like it stems from the wayyy olden days when the woman wasn't considered important and she was taken into her FH's life and he controlled all (I realize I sound a little silly, please don't take offense, more laughing than serious when I'm typing this). So, I am insistingggg on being introduced (both at the church and reception hall) as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jenna _____. I also realize a lot of people don't agree with this bc like I said I'm the only bride-to-be in FH's family right now who wants it this way lol but oh well!

K, enjoy answering!!! Also, I hope no one takes offense to my reasoning, it's really JMHO for us personally. I will still get up and scream and cry for any couple that gets introduced in the traditional way!

I completely 100% agree with you. I know alot of girls like the tradition. But, I absolutely HATE it. No offense to anyone who likes it. It is just not for me.

This is hard for me because FH's last name is pronounced like SKANK...so I'm gonna get married and become a skank

But it'll probably be 'Mr. and Mrs. Michael SKANK'....lord help me...
