6 months left and...(VERY important edit) (Repost from 08 board)

I am done with wedding planning.

Just kidding.

I still haven't chosen a

Florist
officiant
photographer
hair and makeup
MOB gown

Those are just the big things so you can only imagine all the little things I haven't done. I work sooo much better under pressure. Maybe I should just wait till the month before.

EDIT: And I haven't been BOTW yet!!!!!! Now I am really stressed

I would make you BOTW!!!

Get on your planning....do each vendor week to week but take your time....visit them....decidd then call and then book.

you will get it done...it took alot of motivation for me to get them booked bc I just didnt want to

It's so hard for me to get motivated. I work more than full time and I have a 6 year old. I feel like theres no time for me to do anything. I know I am just complaining. There are many others in my situation. blah blah blah

Oh and thanks for the BOTW comment.

I do a lot of my planning from work, because I have nothing else to do .. but if I didn't have this time ... I don't know what I'd do. Can you send a few emails to vendors at night maybe? Take 15 mins and just reach out to people for quotes, or maybe call one person a day to get a sense of who they are, if you like them, etc?

I have 7 months left and I still need an officiant too. Started on it this week, just by emailing a few folks, posting and asking for recommendations, etc.

I work better under pressure too but realize this is not a 10 page paper you are writing the night before. This is your wedding. You don't want the added stress. Even taking 1-2 hrsa week to call vendors and make appts will make a big difference. You want to be able to relax a few weeks before your wedding.

I have an appointment on Saturday to look at a sample centerpiece. If I like it then I will book them. I wouldn't book any florist unless I got to see a sample before. I did meet with a few florists but I only liked the one that is doing a sample for me. I will take pics tomorrow. I will work on photographer next.
